Most of the fics that are made these days tend to be on FF.Net or Mediaminer.org or various message boards. Not a whole lot of individual websites for fanfiction after Geocities and Anifics went down. Go look at other fanfic recs on that site to see that people do look at other fanfic websites for fics. And the fics that get listed there comply to Sturgeon's Law (that is, they are the 10% of all Fanfiction out there that's worth a really good read). Course some of the older fandoms get more fics recommended simply because there's a hell of a lot more fanfics for them. Page Claim for Fanfic recs

The clear gap in our respective careers this site makes apparent isn't helping any My page is spartan and rather out of date, but it conventiently does stop right before that unpleasent incident that caused the fandom to hate me
Well anyways, I'm not too hung up on this. I think a lot of my stuff is good, so as long as a few others agree then I know I'm not being completely delusional

Needs more followup, like the guys wondering where everyone went or Hayate trying to get Signum and Shamal to join in @Raiser: Don't worry - mines even worse, it's a Stub and my only fic listed (being the only one I actually posted to FF.Net) is unfinished and abandoned |

I suppose I should also be grateful my profile doesn't say "He is the greatest troll in the fandom's history" or anything like that

Anyway, general question for the FFT. How does one handle being completely burned out and unable to write, to a point where even sitting down to work on a story is more of a chore than a joy?

Take a break; read some books, watch some movies/shows/anime, etc. Forcing yourself to write will only make it worse. Let your muse return on its own... or with a little bait.

And like others have said, just don't write. Take a break and go do something else for a change of pace. There's no reason to force yourself to write. It's not like you're being paid by a publisher and have to have a certain amount written by a set deadline or else you get fired.
