A handy dandy glow tutorial, very basic and in signature form:

If there's any questions let me know. It was kind of late when I made this.

Um....anyone knows a way for de-text an image? (apart of clone stamp tool in photoshop)

I see many images with ALOT of text and in other places the same version of that image without any word....

And the images are quite complex to edit using the clone stamp....so there should be another way...

The pen tool *might* be handy. It's more exact than the clone tool although background replacement can be harder, haven't tried myself.

Aside from that, I don't really know. There might circulate duplicates of the image with text removed on one, straight from the source. I'll google around a little and see if I find anything...

EDIT: After a light search I came up with that the clone tool, healing and patch tool in combination makes it easier. Still not an answer to your question and I don't know how to do it myself but this seems to be the most common way to remove parts/texts of an image. Hopefully someone else on here can help.

Clone tool generally works the best for detexting. For parts that have too much text covering them, unfortunately that part of the image usually has to be redrawn since there is nothing (or very little) for the tool to clone. Depending on the image, it can be rather time consuming or relatively easy.

Detexting most of the time always require some sort of redrawn lines among other things to be effective.

I know this a sig/avatar tutorial thread but... I saw a certain effect in a wallpaper and I'd really love to be able to make it... not sure if this is the right thread to ask this but I'll do it anyway...

Spoiler for click me:

Actually that looks like a pattern. Download custom patterns, then just use the paint bucket tool and instead of the foreground colour in the menu above, choose the pattern.

Looks like some basic brushing with the forgot-what-it-was-called style filter applied. Some noise above that and the hole thing cut out and placed over the picture. Fill of this abstract layer seems to be 50 or 30 and a border was styled on original.

Well.. I was assuming he was asking about the effect on the girls.. not the BG itself.

And it seems to me, that there's some sort of Texture blended on the render itself.
Of coarse, I could be wrong.

Gentlemen.

I think we should make a dodgeball style pickup signature tourney! 15 contestants, 5 random pickers. Each one picks 2 other and a team is born!

/brainstorm over

Well... if so then. Those little sparkley thing can probably be made through the brush settings. Set the scattering and the shape dynamatic to the max, to create separation b/t each of the dot as much as possible and size it down to the necessary size, and from there you can just duplicate layers to add more.
