Download here: http://upload.riposte.nl/upload/ChapterUnorderer.7z

Usage: chapterunorderer <source directory> <destination batch file>
(without <>'s)

Requires that dumpsuid and mkvmerge are in your PATH (current directory works for dumpsuid; the mkvtoolnix package automatically adds itself to the PATH when installed so mkvmerge should already be there).

I downloaded this and after running, it seems that each remux is failing with the message "Error: 'use_simpleblock' is not a valid hack."

It goes through each episode and returns only that message.

Any idea what's up here? Or is there another relatively simple method to undoing Ordered Chapters?

Haali doesn't link the segments together when I stream to my 360/PS3 so I'm really tryin to figure out a simple workaround for this.

Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind!

I opened up the batch file and changed --engage use_simpleblock to --engage no_simpleblocks and it worked flawlessly!! Woohoo!

I can't download the mplayer patch: broken link.

edit: nvm, I got it working using this git://repo.or.cz/mplayer.git

Well if no one does, you certainly cared enough to say this to me, didn't you?

Also, a bit of slow reply, but

The three people who care can obviously read Japanese or the credits would be useless, so why aren't they watching raws?
Raws are being encoded like that now too.

If you can find me even one thing from PD/Share encoded by a japanese capper that uses ordered chapters and segment linking, I'll promise to eat my hat.

seriously... I don't even pay attention to credits when I'm watching an english show... To get the information you want from rolling/fading credits from a video is horribly inconvenient. You wouldn't be doing the creators any favours keeping their credits in a fansub mostly because you're still not supporting them because you're watching a fansub. Again ANN and other database sites are much more convenient for looking for information on the people who created the show. I also think that fansubbers putting their credits in their fansub completely pointless much for the same reasons. All people really care about is the fansub groups name. With just their name you can find their website and if they don't have a website you can easily find more fansubs released by the group. If your gonna put your credits in the release fansubbers you might as well softsub it, or make a little note on the sponsors part of the video... So give the pointless credits argument a rest!

Could you post somewhere a mplayer build for osx with ordered chapters support? The repo.or.cz/mplayer.git is not working so I can't compile it by myself.
Thx!

It's a great tutorial, and I was following it until I have to download sourcecode with command:
git clone git://repo.or.cz/mplayer.git mplayer
Then I get this
"repo.or.cz[0: 62.24.64.27]: errno=Operation timed out
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Operation timed out)"

So I think the server where is the REPOSITORY is offline.

it is not down (I just tested it), are you behind a firewall maybe? If you are behind a firewall you need to open port 9418. Is this link working for you?

If you really cannot open the ports on the firewall (i.e.: you are not the administrator in your network) you may try to clone using http trasport: git clone http://repo.or.cz/r/mplayer.git this approach is slow and not recomanded though.

I've opened ports, but it looks like the server is rejecting IP range of my ISP. Whem I used proxy i could open the page repo.or.cz. When I turned proxy off again there was no respond. I wrote an email to admin with request of adding my ip range. I heared before about this problem with my ISP (which is biggest in Poland); they've changed ip range to one that was never used before and there were problems accessing many diffrent sites on the world.
Thx for the help.

Dammit, I still can't connect to repo.or.cz.
Pigoz, could you post compiled version on rapidshare?

You probably missed the chapters option:
Code:
mkvextract chapters filename.mkv > chapters.xml

You have to use the command line and type what I wrote, I'm not sure about mkvextract GUI since I never used it.

use a older version of mkvtoolnix. it works for me with version 2.4.1

i get the same error with the command line that pops up in mkvextractGUI+the latest versions of mkvtoolnix "Error: Unrecognized command line option ''. Maybe you put a mode specific option before the input file name?", if i dont use "" for the filename.
eX:
mkvextract chapters "f:\xxxxxxxxxx.mkv" > chapters.xml <-- works
mkvextract chapters f:\xxxxxxxxxx.mkv > chapters.xml <-- error
