Zan Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei OP (Ringo Mogire Beam!) instantly grabbed me when I first heard it.

I love the female vocals. They just sound so cute against the heavy-ish drums and guitar riffs. Also, the male vocals aren't bad either. I usually prefer female vocals in j-trance/techno/whatever songs (Touhou remixes, for example), but here they sound very good. And the video isn't too shabby, either. I could loop this for hours.

I have like only 1 good new favorite. All the others are either early 2000's or late 1990's. Either Sentimental or uptempo does the trick for me.

Second Flight (Kotoko) (Opening - Onegai Twins)
Treasure (Hekiyou Gakuen Seitokai) (Opening - Seitokai no Ichizon)
Midnight Blue (Megumi Hayashibara) (Slayers Movie)
Mask (Masami Okui/Kasumi Matsumura) (Ending - Sorcerer Hunters TV)
Junk Boy (Kaori) (1st Ending - Maze TV)
Sucessful Mission (Megumi Hayashibara) (Opening - Saber Marionette J)

I don't actually listen to a lot of music from Japan apart from opening and ending music to an anime I'm watching but awhile back I found this on youtube and I've liked it ever since. The song is catchy, the guy is hilarious and of course the girls are hot.

I recently started to like Period by Chemistry. It has such a great chorus, I can't get over it.

Sakura Kiss from Ouran definitely! It's just so bubbly and happy! Also, To All Tha Dreamers from Yakitate Japan because it always makes me laugh.
