It's subtle, but notice how the way he's drawn is very close to SD, and has a color pencil feel, when compared to the rest of the cast.

I thot it was because he was practically SD. At least the illustrators didn't make him stick out more. His current state is about right.

OMG the scene where Scarlet Rain hugs Silver Crow with Black Lotus glaring at them was priceless, I think I watched it more than 10 times.

I'm really curious as to who was Black Lotus' guardian...

I know some people expect lots of fighting in episodes, but I find this episode quite interesting. I actually learned lots of new stuff which made me understand Accel World more. I also laughed at the bit where Black Lotus and the red king fighting. And Cyan Pile writing in the ground "Chiyu"

The ending came so fast I could hardly believe 20 minutes had already passed. Taku gets the short end of the stick ever since he became Haru's lackey.

Now then, if 1 day in RL = 3 years in AW.

24/3=8 hours in RL for 1 year in AW.
If a child decided to play for 8 hours during Sat and Sun, it will be equal to 2 years in AW.
2*4=8 years in AW for a month's worth of playing the game
8*12=96 years in AW for year's worth of playing the game
If child's age is 7, including his birthday, then 7+96=103 years old in mental age...

This is truly the ultimate game in terms of the time to be spent on it.

It might be the original "Red King" was Black Lotus' guardian. I concluded that because of how she treated the "Red King" incident in such taboo. I'm guessing the original "Red King" used her for something or because he got a girlfriend lolz

I wanna see Chiyu as a burst linker too lolz

So much happened this episode, especially since it was a talking episode. I will get to all the different points over time.

I don't believe it is the Red King, since KYH was worried about real life retaliation. It must be someone who is currently still in the game, and it's probably one of the kings. If anything, with the appearance of the Yellow King, I think it could be him.

Yes, I can't wait for Chiyu to join up with the rest of them. It is only a matter of time now.

Also, ninja maid made an appearance this episode, reporting to Nikko on the status of Chrome Disaster. I'm going to guess that she will make an Accel World appearance next episode in order to back up the crew.

I so want the Yellow King dead now for plotting this. He is very much into trickery and taking advantage of the situation, if he truly set up everything. Haru is not level 9 yet, so he is okay to defeat the Yellow King without the Yellow King losing the Burst program.

So much more I want to say about this episode, but I'll get to it when I start thinking about it more.

1) I doubt the previous Red King was her Guardian. She said she doesn't want him to meet her Guardian, ergo, her Guardian is still a Brain Linker.

2) Hard to tell from the preview, but it looked to me like it was an alliance between all the Kings (cept Red), to take out Black. Plus some of their lackeys.

3) I figure, at some point, despite the bait and switch they did early in the season, our Black King is going to be offed (for real this time). If Accel World is really only 12 episodes, then if they're going to off her, it's got to happen next episode. I just think it's difficult for fatso to shine as long as she's still around.

4) I admit, I haven't followed this series religiously, so I could easily have missed some fairly obvious things, but wasn't four-eyes supposed to ingratiate himself with the crew, to betray them later? Or did that already happen, and they've forgiven him? I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop there, and starting to think I totally missed something.

5) The more I think about it, I can't believe this is only 12 episodes long. I am going to assume anime news network is wrong.

6) As someone who's played MMOS for years, and MUDs before them for years, the comment about games should end, rather than continue on just out of some nostalgic 'I don't want this to end' feeling hit home. And, fatso is actually right. I think a lot of MMOs would be successes if they didn't try to run forever and had a clear ending in mind.

After this episode, I'm almost certain that Red King will be spared in the end. Niko will probably join up with Haru at some point in the future.

I really doubt that Black Lotus will be executed this early in the series and the story. She is too integral a part of the story for her to be left out of all things. Haru will also lose motivation if she is no longer there.

BTW, there will be at least 24 episodes. As mentioned earlier in the thread, it will probably be split cour, with the second set of episodes shown later on (possibly Fall season).

As for Taku, no, he's completely loyal to Haru and Black Lotus. He is no longer associated with the Blue King. Right now, he cannot even attack anyone in Nega Nebulous even if wanted to, since members of the same legion cannot attack each other. Also, Black Lotus can instant death kill (auto-uninstall Brain Burst) Taku if he betrays her. The whole scene between Black Lotus and Cyan Pile in an earlier episode cleared up their current relationship.

Ah, it being longer than 12 episodes helps make sense of things. I was like, 'how in the world are they tying up the loose ends in two episodes?'

I still think she's getting offed. Probably right before the climax/ending.

if i where to go to the cliche route i would quess, the heros get to the point of almost defeat, the chrome disaster appear, start taking the enemies then they have to join forces to defeat it, and if someone was to be taken out i wwould say niko, the has been some flags already.

if i were to go more cliche i would say that the spirit/item whatever it is chorme disaster will go the naruto route with haru.
