There are dead characters whose playable in honkai. I don't buy she is dead mean chance for her is over.

More importanly she is appears in Childe about (characters)voiceline.
There is pattern in genshin of most characters mentioned in voiceline always end up as playable characters.

So chance still exist.

After using Kazuha for some days, I can't believe how fun and good he is. He makes even a boring task like daily commission enjoyable with his "E" jump

Outside of Abyss, everything dies or almost dies to his jump even before I brought out my DPS. (I use Kazuha as support)

yeah Kazuha is a fun guy, both in personality and abilities. Finished his story quest yesterday. And now starting the island adventure event.

sadly, my Intertwined Fate are really too few. So would have to skip him in favor of sumeru characters.

I won't deny the possibility of Signora somehow coming back, what with the "moth = rebirth" references.

In honkai's case...it's complicated. For a certain character, no new battlesuit of them was released after their death for obvious plot reasons. But then there's the Elysian Realm characters, who have been dead for a very, very, very long time, but are the most recent characters currently released.
However, there's "bubble universe" versions of characters, which they could totally make for the ones that have already died


On an unrelated note, in Genshin, finished Fischl's mirage story and at the end, we get to hear someone voiced by the same VA as Qiqi (Tamura Yukari in JP), but with a slightly more lively tone of voice. Guess said rumors were true

The recent leaks of Dendro reactions and Dendro Traveler's skills seem to be putting her on the spotlight as a much more decent character compared to her previous 3 incarnations. I'm tempted to prefarm mats now...

Also supposedly the Dendro archon won't be in 3.1, but 3.2 instead. 3.1 will supposedly be Nilo.

So the GI subreddit recently went into meltdown when the mods were accused of selective anti-husbando NSFW art bias when they took down a not-so-NSFW art of Childe while leaving the standard waifu NSFW art on. The active redditors then started spamming actual NSFW art of the husbandos which were subjected to selective moderation.

And then actual official art of Heizou's birthday celebration was posted and it was also marked for possible rule breaking violation.

Such drama.

According to a recent statement, it's a combination of user reports, automod bot and miscommunication between mods. This is why I have been holding my judgement. If mods were really, "booba good shirtless boi bad" dont you think we'd been seeing Mona's ass all over the subreddit frontpage?

The Reddit situation is interesting from an inside baseball point of view. This is the problem with moderation systems that rely on reports, because there is an imbalance in reporters. Take this site for instance -- there are some posters who will report anything they find remotely questionable, and then there are others who never report anything at all, no matter how objectionable. If you moderated only based on reports, without a clear understanding and alignment on the principles, you could end up being perceived as very biased. At the scale of Reddit, you end up getting "report brigades" of people with a certain interest -- so if you see a large amount of reports coming for a certain post, you might think "oh something's definitely wrong here because so many people are reporting it" -- but it's actually just because there's this group gaming the system -- they know that mass-reporting will trigger automod and may even fool human review if there aren't clear guidelines.

Looking at their response thread, it looks like they're on the right track: understanding that the mods have been "played" by report-abusers, that their lack of clear guidelines (different opinions between the mods) is a problem, and that they don't have enough mod coverage to properly address the problems that are under-reported (vs. those that are over-reported).

Anyway, moderation is hard, especially at that scale. I've often wondered about how this site has sort of retreated into a small niche in the last decade and if we should do more to try to raise the profile, but being a bit smaller/calmer is also part of the appeal for those who stuck around. If we got to Reddit-scale, we'd inherit a lot of the same problems they have.

This reminds me of an issue I saw brought up with respect to New World (the source escapes me at present): that groups were specifically abusing the report functionality's automated nature to render people unable to participate in PvP fights. It also makes Gearbox' decision to shut down game forums in favor of Discord (reference) seem, at least to me, less than logical. And when you have forums, devs - and especially the community manager - pretty much ignoring them in favor of Twitter, as is claimed to be the case with respect to Star Trek Online, is inexcusable.

It's probably just me, but I consider 'leaks', and subreddits devoted to them, untrustworthy by default. "Why?" you ask. Well, what prevents folks with a sense of humor from taking a page from Operation Mincemeat...?

It's probably just me, but I consider 'leaks', and subreddits devoted to them, untrustworthy by default. "Why?" you ask. Well, what prevents folks with a sense of humor from taking a page from Operation Mincemeat...?

Misinfo related to leaks are easily snuffed out by the presence of multiple leakers, some of which handle large communities. Clout-chasing is enough motivation for some, and it deters people who likes the clout from doing large-scale "acts of deception". The Genshin Leaks subreddit, for instance, has a list of leakers, their claims and whether those are true or not, allowing some to gauge a leaker's reputation.

So the trash in question are using 'burner' accounts. I see how that can be annoying to deal with. And yes, it is better for everyone else not to, well, feed the trolls.

On another note I was reminded by this that if a version of Aloy can show up, we can't dismiss the possibility of other... guests dropping in from other settings which, unlike HZD, share a proverbial umbrella with GI

Aiming for Nilou, Nahida and Dehya. Though I went and used my guarantee for Kazuha coz Nilou won't be until 3.1 at least. Will buy a Welkin until I get them all and will thoroughly explore Sumeru for the rewards.
