Man City have really started with big fixtures...it'll be interesting to see how they do against Arsenal, and if they can extend their winning run (although their premiership form hasn't been brilliant, I think many people are underestimating Arsenal)
Wonder how long Jol can stay on as manager for Tottenham...

I'm not a Spurs fan, but I do pity Spurs and Jol, they've expanded their squad but then unluckily lost their first two games of the season, and the media's already calling for Jol's resignation.

Strangely, no one's asking Ferguson to resign when he only managed 2 points from 3 games while Spurs have got 1 point more before their clash with United tomorrow. Talk about double standards.

It's just like how the media quickly turn their guns on Rafa Benitez early last season simply because Liverpool had a series of tough away fixtures, and everyone blamed it on his rotational policy when that policy had worked so fine for the Reds on 2005/2006.

Jol's not going anywhere, he's got the fans behind him. Spurs chairman Levy would be an idiot to undo all the hard work that Jol has established these past few years. The same can be said for Abramovich and Morinho, despicable his personality may be, Morinho has laid some good foundation for Chelsea's success.

OH YES! 1-0 Arsenal over ManC !!

On the other note, Liverpool won as well (2-0) against Sunderland, and Chelsea won 1-0 against Portmouth ..

We won!

We won

Bolton won 3-0 against Reading too ^0^ (it pays to have Anelka in my Fantasy team )

Arsenal 1 - 0 City

Played good, but missed sooooooooooooo many chances. Fabregas with the goal (fantasy team )

Lampard scored for Chelsea, who also won 1-0.

Does no one else play Fantasy Premier League here? Please join our Animesuki League T_T .. Its not that much fun with only 3 of us (me, Medic and Sunshine) .. If you are playing since gameweek #1, I dont think there's a problem joining an ongoing league.

That being said Medic, pity Persie misses that penalty eh ?.. nullifying his 2 points for playing :/ But that means 5 points for Schmeichel.

I think I understand how the game is played now.. time to make amendments to my line up

I calculated getting 53 points this week, bar the 2 players prolly playing tonite for the last 2 games of the week.. yet I get 63 points with 24 from Anelka .. Still, unless Yakubu and Giggs both score hattricks.. it wont change much

AIK has bought another argentinian player. Pablo Monsalvo from Olimpo, anyone has anything to say about him?

Well, I´ve got the day off today so why not set it up and join your league. Sounds like fun.

Edit//
Apparently I need the code for the league which I can get from the founder. Pretty please?

It is saddening to see someone so young depart this world. RIP.

The Champions League qualifier between Sevilla and AEK Athens scheduled today got postponed to next Monday as a result. That means the Champions League draw this Friday would go on without them (both teams would be sharing the same ball in the draw).

Sevilla would be playing in the Super Cup this Friday against AC Milan as well, there'll probably be some commemoration then.

Tonight all four British clubs would have Champions League qualifying action. Rangers leading 1-0 in aggregate at time of posting this, the other matches will begin soon.

Not really, he had nine heart attacks before this. He should of retired earlier.

Wow. This is the last place i expected a Football topic to be. I'm a Man.Utd fan since well.....i was a little child.
We'll have an easy win on Saturday vs Sunderland. I'd say 4-0 at least.

Very sad news about Puerta. The Life of such a promising young player cut short.

The medic should interdict him to play football after nine heart attacks.

Nine heart attacks?
But he was only 22...
It has been a very bad week, considering Ray Jones (QPR) died last weekend, in a car accident...
Very sad news.

Arsenal won 3-0 (5-0 on aggregate) against Sparta Prague.
Celtic and Spartak Moscow are currently playing extra time after a 1-1 draw (2-2 on aggregate)

Celtic win on pens!!

We also go through. Game wasnt anything special, until Cesc, Denilson & Ade were introduced. Eduardo passed his defender with skill and set up Cesc for his 2nd goal of the tie. Then after some great build up play, Denilson from the right flank crossed in the ball, which was finished nicely by Eduardo. Rosicky scored the first after good play by Walcott.

Draw is tomorrow.
