Saw the first episode on Crunchyroll and preair today
I think it was okay but nothing really special yet regarding that Shingo guy. Hopefully the season takes some time to develop his character. We already get a glimpse at the main female cast as well but this season should show a lot more of them. That Alfred guy will probably need to teach him a lot more about magic and his abiltiies if he wants to survive in that world. Pretty standard stuff as I had expected. Hoping the second episode will be better.

Not often (in my experience) that an Isekai show starts you right in the middle of the protagonists life in this other world, right down to them already having their Harem established. Heck, they didn't even resort to Truck-kun .
I'm surprised the blonde dude/obvious best friend character gets top billing alongside the Harem. Kinda neat . Is it just me, or was Well's Japanese self fairly good looking? And he could cook too! Poor guy didn't get to enjoy his rice or his hard-worked meal before he got reincarnated in the body of a cute child . Man, Kurt really lucked out, marrying into more legitimate nobility and with a wife that is quite the beauty . Well's expectations meeting cold-hard reality was kind of funny in a sad way. Not all nobility are actually wealthy, and sometimes they fake it . Well has two half-brothers? I guess the father wasn't poor enough to not partake in the typical pastime of the nobility . It's too bad Well is losing best bro Erich . They have all those books...even though the father can't read. I guess they inherited them, but why even bother keeping the books ?

I was amused by the names of some of the books, though. |

Wow, they probably weren't trying to be insulting, but Well's family sure has a lot of faith in him .
Kurt's starting to show some heavy "evil older brother" vibes . I wonder if Kurt's wife knew what kind of living conditions she'd have to abide by when she married into the family...and is she voiced by Yukana ? I'm kind of surprised we haven't properly met a single member of the Harem by episode 2, but I guess Well's training is just that important (and probably why the anime showed them all at the start). I'm sure we'll meet some of them at the Adventurer's Academy . Not often an overpowered Isekai protagonist has genuine money problems . I was not expecting Well's master to turn out to basically be a zombie, but I guess it explains why he was so focused on teaching Well. At least he got to get introduced to Wasabi before he was finally laid to rest Poor Well having to exorcise his master .

I'm surprise they choose the time skip start. And I see what the director's trying to do to sneak in a a few of the punch lines... if only he had a slightly better team to get those across better.
But I don't think anyone expected much from this series, since it's so wordy and political in the novels. Definitely not an easy job to adapt this one, most people were surprised it got an anime. |

Three episodes and the only similitudes between the books and the anime are the title and the characters' names, I was expecting it to be rushed and to skip things here and there for the sake of animating until the volume 5 but they just changed every single event, scene and dialogue as they pleased, the wedding, the way he meets his teacher, the way he meets his male friend, the way he meets the heroines, the invitation to the garden party, how he forms his adventurer party, the talk with Blantark and the Margrave... if just they're going to write whatever thing they want they should just going straight to do an original anime instead of using the fame and the name of someone's story for attracting viewers for their shit.

It's still the same story, but cut out things that would bored most viewers to tears. I guess they realized they weren't talented enough to make the original good, so they make it generic instead... It's sappy as heck...but it's not bad...a little bit endearing even. They would need to put a whole 15minutes to explain the convoluted story of the magrave's expedition into the demon forest, follow by the isolation of the retainer families to the whole rumor mil add to the merchants...and we can write an essay of on it to fill up a thread. And oh yea, put some extra time explaining Afried's past as well . . . |
