Quite misleading but was skeptical to say the least that Roosterteeth could possibly be $152 billion in debt.
To save other people's time: That's actually AT&T's debt. Roosterteeth is a subsidiary of a subsidiary of a division of AT&T and a very very speculative conclusion is made that Roosterteeth could die to offset any percentage of debt. [EDIT] Bloody hell, looking at all those toxic SJWs in that thread is giving me an aneurysm. Glad I never used twitter.

I didn't realize that until well after I posted that, but it seems that he is... I think? I mean, he's also supposed to be related to the two birds that Odin keeps around (Thought and Memory), or so I've heard.
Frankly, I'm a bit doubtful because he's never displayed either a lack or a high level of intelligence... as in, his brains have never really been an issue about his character. The closest I can think of in regards to that is that he told Ruby and Yang to always be learning. With Lionheart, he demonstrated cowardliness directly (betraying his academy and fellow hunters to save himself), and Ironwood has also demonstrated heartlessness directly (shooting Oscar). Qrow hasn't shown terminal brainlessness that I've seen. Uuuuuntil Twi's mention of teaming up with Tyrian in any way, shape, or form. That *was* pretty stupid of him. Even so, I don't think it's as explicit as the other examples... not yet, anyway. Edit: I do miss Torchwick. It's hard to believe he went out so... abruptly. Unfortunately, I don't think Neo would be mistaken as to his status, so I guess he really is dead. |

The Week Late Train rides again! Chugging out of the first station, Episode 1 of Volume 8.
Well, at least it's a stolen ship, Cinder. Would hate to see you have to pay the damage deductible on that. That's right, Neo: always be wary of your fellow employees. Everyone can backstab you. Doesn't help that you can't really speak for yourself... Has Cinder previously called Salem "ma'am?" Seems really out of place for some reason when she'd just called her her "queen." So I gather they haven't figured out electric heat if the city has no heat but there's power for lights and TVs. Sure, it's drying, but it's a legitimate option. And the cycle of splitting the party continues. Not surprising, but interesting divisions. Closest characters splitting, for the most part. Ruby taking the phone from Penny didn't seem right to me after Penny had been so adamant about going to help in the first place. It would've seemed like a better avenue to have her respond to Ironwood like she had before. Wow. I read the comments earlier about Ironwood, but... damn, son. That's the kinda thing that gets you either terrifying allegiance or gets your head lopped off in a military coup. Based on the reactions, or lack thereof from the Atlas personnel... methinks it's going to be the first one, which it really shouldn't because that really was something that was completely inexplicable and crazy. Also, from the intro... new clothes for Winter? Sweet. Interesting start to the season. Unsure of my initial opinion on it, good or bad, so let's see where this goes.

It does get rid of the moral ambiguity of him starting to go off the sliding scale, but there wasn't even a notion of a discussion at all in the case of the politician, someone who couldn't remotely fight back. No imprisonment. No threats. Point. Fire. Dead. That's why I think they did this too early. A slippery slope is a slope, not a cliffside. The descent needs to be more gradual, not so you can justify the heroes actions, but so you can give reasons for the inevitable reason that Winter eventually turns on the man she's dedicated her life and loyalty to. He's gone too far to turn back. If you start with him shooting someone in the head and you still work for him, that speaks ill of the people who follow him, compared to good people who followed what he believed in formerly and are willing to uphold the ideals he lost sight of.

The Week Late Train steams into Station 2 of season 8....
And the mustache is relevant because....? What, Robyn? Got a problem with No Shave November? Though, it would be cool to see her take a poke at him. Wouldn't call that police brutality as much as... uh... he ran into a door. So, again, this week... Mantle is without heat, but they've got all manner of working technology that requires electricity. And if I'm a news outlet, I'm certainly not casually going around Mantle right now reporting as if everything is normal. I can't remember if this has been stated before, but does Oz eventually completely overwhelm every person he ends up in? Or does Oz change slightly, adopting various traits of the people he ends up in? So... another huntress with an invisibility-esque semblance. Cool. Running out of ideas, I see. Anyone else thought of this classic RvB moment when Weiss got pulled into the pneumatic tube? Potato masher grenades. Sweet. And... um... that grim is a problem. Let's see where next week takes us. Until next time...

Slightly more on time this week, the Week Late Train rumbles into Station 3...
I would think Blake as a cat faunus would have some genetic disposition enjoy being stuck in something that resembles an air duct married with a clothes dryer. Penny is amazing this episode and I'm like 4 minutes in. I'm trying to think of what her finger-probe-data-port thingy reminds me of. Some android/robot character in a big movie does that... not sure if it's Sonny from I, Robot, maybe? Ruby Sailor Moon pose. YES. Nora having an identity crisis. Not something I expected to see this season. And I'm guessing those scars are going to be permanent. I guess we'll see Watts trying to hack into Penny through one of her blades. Anyway... not a whole lot happening this episode plot-wise. Hopefully pick up the pace next week.
