First off I thought this episode was great; i have never been a fan of the Lousie/Saito pairing I just don't see it. I think the chemsity display with Seista or even Heriennta is much better then Ms Zero. Maybe that's just because I find her annoying.

Louise and Saito are actually a fairly good matched couple. Saito never gets worked up with jealousy with the other girls like he does with Louise. Honestly i think Louise is the only that
1 keep Saito on a leash and make him behave
2. Louise is the only one that can bring out that protecitve side of his allowing him to use hs gandufler power.

Althought i think they are good match my favorite would still be a HenriettaXSaito paring

I think Siesta and Henrietta are nice, but I've never been able to see them make a good pair with Saito. It seems like the relationship would be too one-sided, and I think Saito would quickly get bored. They're better suited to "just friends", in my opinion.

Also, I don't think either of them would have the guts to fulfill his S&M fetishes to the extent that Louise does

As for Louise, even when she's in her Tsundere-mode, I still think they're good together (I guess it's just the "tsundere way" of showing his importance to her

), and whenever the plot permits Louise and Saito to get close, they're an even better match. I'll admit I do get annoyed, but it's not so much Louise or Saito I get annoyed at, but rather the plot itself. It seems there is always some obstacle testing their relationship, but I suppose that's also a good thing (but it can just get tiring).

This episode was quite a dramatic progression to plot and character development, that the comically side-story about Scarrion and his troupe felt enjoyable and not distracting.

Agnes' fight had probably the best fighting sequence in the whole series, even though it was short.

Coming into Season 2, I figured that more Henrietta screentime = Henrietta love. And of course that's turned out to be the case.

But to me, the surprise character has been Agnes. She just flat-out rocks. She's the kind of character that doesn't need to end up "with" someone to blossom. I don't know if there's much room for character development, but as long as she keeps gettin' screentime, I'll keep watchin'

I am getting really tired of the dog-whipping endings though.

Spoiler: There was some dicussion of Herinnita falling in love with Saito, does she really fall in love with him? I know she says later she just was using him as a replacement but is that true? I am curious. I really like the scenes between the two I though it was just great.

Spoiler: At the start of season two Agnes to me was a bothersome bitch, behaving so uptight as the prancing, loyal soldier who is a devotee to her code of justice for her Majesty. But she got her reasons to became like that. Her flashbacks provided basic insight that a Fire Mage destroyed her hometown, and in this episode it was finally exposed that Lishimon did it. The imagery of child Agnes crying around the town engulfed in flames was brutal, and the tension as thick as ice when she and Lishimon crossed paths. Agnes succeeded in earning my respect. She did not allow her fiery emotions to take control of her; she planned to guide Lishimon directly to her arena where he was unable to gain any upper hand. Agnes combines fiery passionate with cold loyalty. Spoiler for For Lishimon: My take that Lishimon was for a long time ago planning an upheaval and coup to deestabilize the current government. My opinion is that he used Agne's hometown as several others as scapegoats to gain an influential position in the government and to become a spokesperson authority on the matters regarding the loyalty. He branded the many townsfolk as spies plotting to overthrow the government and execute as a means to earn sympathy and trust. I do not think he was some way or another having affairs with Reconquista, but he indeed had his own agenda to topple down Henriette's rule. Spoiler: And Scarrion comes back mounting his troupe. Saito was so lucky that heaven came down upon him knocking his door. 1. I mean he took a good peep at Henriette in the nude. 2. Marveled at the wonders of her ample bossom to which Louise's borrowed shirt barely held up her goodies. A rival to Rangiku-san 3. Spent quality time alone with Henriette but to bad they couldn't get intimate due to those guards. 4. But at least he got to be kissed by Henriette even if it was to distract the guards. Louise was not so lucky to receive her maybe second or third kiss from Agnes in order to cover their tracks. And Saito on his doggy costume, shown at the ending sequence, at the theater still proved he can kick ass while wearing it.
