Yeah Melona's hair has a mind of its own

I think you need to have desktop effects turned on (right click the desktop > change desktop background > visual effects) make sure it is either normal or Extra (I have it on extra)

Then right click the panel you want to make transparent and go to properties > background and tick the "Solid color" button. Then move the style slider left or right to adjust the opacity and close the window when you are done

Thats the Cairo Dock, no wine is required to run it. I like the lil penguin animation, he walks around, skates, turns into superman, works and u can annoy him by clickin' on him .... the best part is that the animation and all the effects of the cairo dock don't seem to use much memory at all.

Hmm a hair with it's own mind, interesting! xD

And about the panel I must do something wrong then, whenever I do this the panel gets transparent but certain widgets like the clock stay solid. Might have to do something with the GTK Theme I use :/

I cheated in my last screen and used a part of my wallpaper as the panel background xD

Yeah, it might be your current theme. Try changing it to a more basic theme such as Dust and then adjust the opacity, I have dust set and the transparency is working fine

The default theme of 10.04 ambiance and radiance don't support getting transparent by default (WTF were they thinking when they did the theme).
So you much do some trick to have it (the link above).

Uhh, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but --
Is there a way to increase your resolution? The highest mine goes is 1024/768.

Mmm..... I am not a savvy linux user (YET) so I don't know about complex tricks (asides from wine tricks?) however I read somewhere that having COMPIZ enabled could help you accomplish full panel transparency, try it out

My phone has Yin on it.

I'm too lazy to use the Android SDK to take an actual screenshot.
