I was just reading the new manga and saw an update by Izuru on the side. He said that he was working on Volume 9 and I don't know if he's joking but he mentioned something about bloomers and thighs.

Flere estimated Vol.8 to have ~20% plot, now I'm wondering how much of Vol.9 is plot.

I thought Izuru lost interest in IS and started another project, did he lose interest in that as well, or is he doing two series?

I can't confirm it for sure in terms of sales, but that other project (Afterschool Battlefield) was apparently so bad none of the Chinese fan translators are willing to pick it up. This is when your usual tsundere clones like Louise/Shana/Claire still gets translated too.

Well to be fair to those three, the novels at least have decent plots and character development. Izuru's previous track record shows that his characters remain static at 7 volumes in.

-He has nothing to comment on volume 8, and that it was really hard.
-That he is planning on doing a love comedy theme for volume 9 since he wants to write it light heartedly. And he doesn't care about battle any more since it exhausts him too much.
-He wrote that he would start and write volume 9 early.

He may be joking(maybe), but I sure did slammed my laptop down when I read that.

The problem is that the content is mediocre at best. He has no basis on bragging other than he somehow begged a publisher to back him. And he has illustrators that can put his fantasies on graphic paper.

Yeah, often times his message to his fans either infuriating or ridiculously funny depending on how you take it.

He can brag about sales though, and the old publisher kick him because of hiatus, than anything else. In the end, money and polling talks and half-decent stories got shafted.

That said, he probably have to change editor regularly...
