So Caliber arc pretty much proceeded as expected, though some parts were highly condensed, like the entire Tonkii arc being relegated to a short stills flashback.

Also, Sinon continues to be best girl

I have to say, seeing ALfheim Online back on-screen makes me that much more excited for next year's Sword Art Online: Lost Song!

That said, while there has been talk about a new "SvartALfheimr" region to explore in SAO:LS, it hasn't yet been revealed how much of the "regular" parts of ALO you can visit. I wonder if they will make Jötunheimr available there also?

And to get back to this episode, did anyone catch who voices Queen Urd?

Pfft they reduced the whole Leafa and Kirito character development moment with Tonkii in ALO into a simple montage. I was hoping they'd actually animate that small arc of introducing Jotunheimr.

Still love the scene where Kirito grab Sinon's tail. Never fails to crack me up. Kyaa~

That glare Suguha gave Kazuto when he made a slight about Tonkii's appearance. She's definitely tapping into her inner Kirino.

Also, I thought the arc was supposed to be called Caliber, not Calibur. Won't it lose meaning with the misspelling?

So much for their ability to team up in Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax being a coincidence... (In that game, you can select Kirino as a main and pick Leafa as her support character.)

At least they have a pretty sweet team now.

It was a cel phone, not a toaster.

Unless you're worried about the safety of the phone (and what looked like her credit cards inside that wallet thing), in which case, they do make waterproof phones now.

Pacing still bothers me. I know they have to infodump, but as soon as they arrive, BOOM! SPEECH TIME! Couldn't they fight some random looters or something?

Some necessary setting up, and looks like we're going full on questing starting next episode, seeing ALO style Sinon was cute too. Looking forward to seeing some MMORPG raiding next time.
