episode 04 "FIRST CONTACTOO!!!!!!"

I don't like the voice of the new girl Frou.... and she is weird -_-

Subaru has problems with his father but it looks like he really like the hobby Robo

Aki having problems with getting a sponsor for her robot project

Kai get beaten by Subaru and forced to play hobby robo and Frou ordering him around and at the end of the episode..... well we get a cyberghost or .... well FIRST CONTACT!!!

After the ending to last week's episode, I expected their trip to Jaxa to be far more grand. Instead, they only stayed in a room for five minutes with Akiho's dad and it was over. They didn't manage to secure any help nor funds. A bit disappointing.

That Frau girl is extremely eccentric. She's not how I imagined she would be at all. Seriously... wut.

Looks Kai is going to enter another robot tournament soon. I guess this is why the previous tournament was so short, that one will be the real deal. Kai, Akiho and Mistah Pleiades should make a fearsome team.

Kinda slow. But Akiho keeps me going. Frau Kojiro is deeply bizarre -- or at least her voice is. It almost seems alien. Only my love of the weird and confidence in Nazuka Kaori keep me from condemning it right away. If she can pull off this unusual voice and cadence, she's done something. (Nazuka-san's most famous role: Eureka in Eureka Seven. She married last year and had a baby girl on New Year's Day.)

Frau is seriously disturbed. I wish they showed a bit more of her, I feel like her scenes have been cut without letting us understand what the hell is going on with her.

Overall in this episode a lot of things have happened and yet it feels like nothing did.

The Mysterious girl looks like a cyberspace entity from Dennou Coil.

That cyberghost girl is probably the one that appear in episode 01 but why does she appear only in that ipad? that electronic device of Kai is what needed to be answer.

Is she an electronic entity?

I can see two possibilities:

1) She is an electronic entity who can only exist in a sort of overlaying cyberspace, which is why humans need to use electronic devices to see her. If you have watched Dennou Coil you are familiar with the concept.

2) She has a physical body but she exists "somewhere else" which might be an alternate dimension, the future or another planet. She can only interact with the world where Kaito lives through the existing cybernetwork.

2. That might be more interesting if it is.

BTW, the new girl is obviously a geek but somehow I like her.

I'm more interested on that girl Kai sees on his screen. It looks like she'll make the story more interesting xD

She's a weird one too.
Aki was looking for sponsors in unusual place.
Getting pretty desperate..

R;N 04 - Cross Over Space, Steel Power!

Akiho's interest in space means she reminds me of another character besides Yayoi. Yuki Jojima. Though she's a little more focused on getting to her goals. Sure she'd love to have a moonbase, though. Moonbases are cool. As far as this episode goes, the introduction of Kona/Frau gives it quite a few points. Her online persona bleeding into the real world kinda reminds me of Kurisu a bit, except she's not really trying to hide it. And the whole "teenage genius" thing. I wonder how big of a role the second robot tournament is going to play if things are getting shaken up by that strange girl showing up on the iPad thing - sure, Subaru and Kaito may be begrudgingly working together, but there are bigger issues here, and I think they have something to do with the aurora.

Poor Akiho, shunned for her lack of chest. But what she lacks in chest, she makes up for in heart!

Because it was just a female version of that guy from Steins;Gate. So seen there, done that. Though I was surprised in the fact his female version popped up. .................Kimoi~~~~... But at least it is less annoying than the protagonist.
