I believe it's because of the Obon Festival.
Medaka Box is published in WJS which I know is on break this week but I don't know about Shounen Magazine...though I'm guessing it's on break as well.

There is nothing to really disappoint about, consider we have Medaka's dad waiting for her.
That gurantees big trouble.

For an arc that is there to set up the for the real meat, it has enough content.

Neither Torai nor Tsurubami actually got to do anything and we didn't get to go to the moon. I'm pretty disappointed about that.

I wonder if we ever got to see the other four language styles.

Every arc, Nisio holds on to one or two characters and adds them to the roster. Others still pop up every now and then. Glad to see that Namanie sticks around, I like her.

Hope to see a little expansion(maybe Sakugo will show up at some point)
