Well, that escalated quickly. Good thing they didn't waste time on Natsumi and Sato's murders considering every detail is already in DR2.

We can expect Hajime's transfer as Izuru quite soon considering how the episode ended.

Haven't played the games before but I'm going to guess

that Sato is somehow responsible (maybe not directly) but involved with Natsumi's death.

Kinda felt bad for Hinata at getting beat up like that. At least Chisa came on time or that could of turned worse.

That to being said she ironically the trigger for despair and Izuru coming.

I was suprised the boxer also in the school, and he still jerk like his future self.
I think i can see why him despair so much,he might see the things that made him so pissed off to them so he and Kyousuke couldn't forgiven them.

Interesting they actually ended up giving Sato a face, I wasn't sure if they were gonna do that. I'm also relieved they covered the events of Twilight Syndrome rather swiftly since anyone who's played Danganronpa 2 already knows what happened.

So Hajime's about to become Izuru. Is he gonna be the long-haired bored with everything fellow for the rest of the Despair arc now I wonder?

He or his hitman would be the first ones to come to mind. We'd need to know more details to make a better asessment.
For all we know the official story could be true and it was just Ikusaba sneaking in to kill her.

ANother logical way would be that Sato informed school staff about it and one of the SHSL Teachers first killed Kururyuu and later on Sato in order to not leave a trail.

Atm thats pretty much wild conjecture though.

It was either Fuyuhiko, Peko or one of the Kuzuryu family goon after the former planned it. Fuyuhiko figured out Satou's alibi was a sham after looking at Mahiru's picture. The school is not involved in that case.

I actually assumed it was Peko due to her undying blind loyalty to Fuyuhiko.

That's not mandatory, we anime watchers could read wiki or watches video to fill of gap knowlede in DR2.
Also this is prequel of DR2 so there are really no need to know DR2 to watch this show. DR2 literally the future spoiler of zetsubou-hen

there are also people who simply don't want to play DR 2 - not really hot for paying 30 bucks for a game that keeps me from watching something I want to see forever as I got no time to play it anyway - VNs just take too damn long.

It's their choice to watch without playing. If they can get the gist of what happened before by asking a few questions and reading some wikis, it's fine.

That being said, even in the games, the details of the murder have been left deliberately vague. Although the implication was that that Sato girl killed Kuzuryu's sister to 'protect' Koizumi (whether she even needed protecting is also up in the air), and at a later point, Sato seems to have been killed by Kuzuryu himself because he overheard a conversation Koizumi and Sato were having.

Where possible they will transfer Izuru?
Will them go to the main class (77th generations) I would like to see Izuru meet his future comrades especially he meet Chiaki, it will be interesting to see if Chiaki recognize Hinata or not.

Not going to argue with people choice regarding the games or whatnot, but this is quite false. Prequel don't work this way and despair arc is no exception: despair arc is the actual spoiler considering its narrative (explaining right from the get go who are the remnants of despair and what they were doing).

Playing DR2 doesn't even spoil despair arc until VERY lately considering you have to reach the explanations regarding class 77, which happen at... the very last part of the game. Meanwhile, despair arc completely let the cat out of the bag within the very first ep.

Prequels are mostly spoiler to the original source material they are tied to, very rarely the other way around.

Unless Nagito doesn't recognize Izuru in his despair mode or Kodaka decided to retcon the next point, he won't be transferred to class 77 as Nagito met Izuru the first time on the boat which was headed to Jabberwock island.

Fuyuhiko is definitely the one who planned Sato's murder, the only thing we don't know is if he did the deed himself or if he had one of his goons do it. It's also possible Peko jumped in to kill her before he could like she did in DR2.

I think it's possible he didn't recognize him, as he was just a giant mass of hair by that point (seemed to be standing in the dark, too)
