Well, technically it is the hikikomori (shut-in) who don't date. Being a NEET just means you are not in employment, education or training. Which is technically true for her, but she is not shut-in because of crippling social fear, she choose the shut-in life for herself. So I don't see a problem with her dating if she wants to. But she probably doesn't expect it to go anywhere, if she is over 30 and still single. It is definitely going to get awkward since people naturally tend to talk about their career and family and such.

well, she did go to work before becoming a NEET, so it's not like she was completely hopeless.
it depends on the individuals themselves, but now she can just said that she's taking a break from work (we sometimes call it "gap year" at my place) due to stress and stuffs. I'd totally understand if someone told me this. Sakurai seems like a really sensible and understanding guy, so.....

it is always a mystery for me about how a NEET could maintain their life.. who is paying for their living expense?
from what I saw, Moriko seems saved a lot during her working days (she is probably worked too hard for years until she got worn out) Lily is too cute to be true I just hope the drama won't turn out to Moriko's dilemma at choosing between Lily or Sakurata I mean.. when would she find out that Lily is that person anyway |

I really like how how this show deals with social relationships. The first episode felt underwhelming but episode 2 and 3 impressed me much more now that I'm getting used to the style of this anime.
The character chemistry between Mori and Lily in the MMO world is something that I'm growing attached to now.

There is no way 30 year olds can be this cute!
Is the green-haired shop clerk also one of them? That would be too much of a coincidence, surely? But the way he reacted when she bought that gametime card, surely he is also a player of the same game at least. Looks like there will be some drama next time. To be honest, I just want them to continue to be impossibly cute. |

This series is surprisingly entertaining and adorable!
I can so relate to Moriko's despair at work - real life, especially work life, can be damn tough. I suspect the green-haired clerk is the guild master. Sakurai's senpai at work is cute and hilarious! Always enjoy watching their interactions.

I really hate it when a series hits too close to home, but I just can't stop watching, I had this stupid grin on my face while watching these 3 episodes back to back
Anyway, the only thing I can think of as a weakness of this series right now is the number of coincidences we've seen in just 3 episodes. The christmas chicken one, the elbowing incident, sakura-chan and morimori-san somehow working for the same company, Spoiler:
I mean, I've seen plenty of series in this same genre before but the number of coincidences makes it hard to believe somewhat.

This show is indeed getting better. Rather than a show about a fulfilling net-juu life, it seems to be about reintegrating a NEET back to society after she escaped from RL troubles into a NEET life. Definitely like this better than the show with the Ako girl (can't even remember the title). All ages are quite mature which is also quite a rare thing. And veteran seiyuus playing most of the regulars.
Episode 4's best lines belonged to Nakamura. I wonder whether he cringed inwardly while speaking those lines, cos he's like one of the most famous mega whale seiyuu in gacha games. Also, Nakajima Megumi's second anime theme after coming back from hiatus with Fuuka's being the first. Watched the full MV and Denpa Laboratory episode on 26th with her as guest for her album promo |
