Apparently we are going to be in filler for a while starting next week. After the war filler. there will be another filler arc.

Canon will not return until next year. (Jan 2013)

I'm pretty sure none of those titles refer to any manga events. Although someone else needs to confirm.

They are war filler. We are going to be in filler till Jan 2013 because another filler arc follows the war filler.

Most likely. Thankfully it will only be a 6 episodes mini arc, and not one of those giant 6-9 months arcs Bleach used to have.

Sai, Lee & Kakashi.
Some flashbacks and the usual undead attacks.
It was nice seeing Kakashi in action ^^
Sai was having trouble getting a grip on his emotions.
All turned out well in the end.

Wow i knew the anime team sucked at making original fight scenes but that was pathetic.

I mean Kakashi and 16000 shinobi against 10 edo tensei and 1 is taken out in an instant.

Though the fodder slaughter was good.

The part about Maki and her sensei was nice.
After that it was back to war...
So her Pakura sensei is among the living dead shinobi.
Yet another sad reunion story...
At least she managed to clear the facts about her own death.

I actually liked this episode

I never thought that would happen with a war filler.

I really liked that the anime team didn't do the predictable "beat the enemy in one episode" like last week especially as both these edo tensei's are dealt with off screen in the manga. Hell even an original character got to look badass before being killed and that is so very, very rare.

News about the upcoming filler arc that has nothing to do with the war: apparently all 6 episodes will be written by Toshiyuki Tsuru (director of most Naruto openings and director of some of the best Shippuuden episodes: 82, 85, 123 and 166). Tsuru himself and other important names will also be directors for those episodes.

Animation looks indeed Tsuru level (as in, fucking awesome). Hopefully those scenes are from the actual episodes, and were not made just for the trailer.

Two episodes, two fillers.
They keep stretching Naruto until one day it snaps.
And that day is coming fast. They keep showing us fillers 90% of the time.
It's just disgraceful and rude towards the fans. I'm guessing lots of fans gave up on it already.
Tsunade and Raikage's past and present stuff, mostly flashbacks.
Basically, two episodes of wasting time...
