The usual pattern of the cards is that it's always about the subject wearing the outfit of the person who'll be next in line. However, Aria is wearing a Genoise-style uniform that's not anyone elses, and the alt outfit is instead Gaul wearing Nanami's hero outfit.

Not having watched the episode yet, does that mean Aria is going to become a member of Genoise?

I think you shouldn't read too much into it. Given what they told us today, Aria couldn't survive on the surface in the long term without some sort of purified aquarium setup.

So... creepy yandere demon octopus boy that folks seem to have known but didn't recognize on sight? Did the whale swallow one of those demonic swords and he encountered it, or something?

Well now the boss of the dungeon appeared and has established his power through the standard cliche of a hopeless boss fight. A decent cliffhanger.

I have to say this is probably the most serious situation we've had in the show in a while. This guy literally feels more dangerous than anything we've seen since the first season. Sure, it's a classic setup but he was actually knocking people around pretty effectively. Although wow....they sure could have used more firepower for this trip .

While it was already stated in the past, another not that Genoise and Gaul just have a strong relationship where none of them would have ever thought about anything romantic. As close to sibling feelings between them as you can get. Kind of fun that they were all pretty ok with the potential with him and Aria since it's a rare time when he shows that kind of interest in someone.

I'm just surprised this wasn't wrapped up in an episode. Instead we get a decent boss who for some reason just feels more dangerous than we usually get. Probably someone who liked Aria, wondered off and got utterly twisted up by the disease demons. Aria probably went off to look for him and well....that didn't go well for her at all.

So Shinku and Becky can go and bring back some support and try to turn things around. Though not sure they can bring too many people. Sure they have a flying army at the ready, but not sure they could get up there. Maybe just grabbing the princess and a couple people.

I think part of the effectiveness is unlike the demon army battle at the start of this season, the characters facing this guy actually showed fear in this battle. Poor Rico couldn't even aim she was shaking so much. It really upped this guy's creepy factor.

That's probably a fair point. The characters reacted like it was more of a threat rather than something the just needed to be hyped about defeating.

Might also help that the enemy here has a personality and isn't just a monster. To be sure it's a pretty one-track mind with this guy, but having some semblance of intelligence doesn't hurt in terms of making him a threat.

i'm gonna give u back your own advice your looking too much into it. Nanami was just curious about Gaul's affection and the Genoise all but admitted they arent interested

As for the bad guy at the end he's a severe threat both to the gang current and u Gaul-Aria shippers. I'd bet money that he was somebody important to her but then as somebody guessed he got one of those cursed swords and became kinda evil. It twisted the kids heart... o well

What I meant was that they seem interested in joining this ship. This being the Gaul x Aria ship. All of them seemed to think it was nice that Gaul had found someone he cared about that much, and the revelation that none of them are interested in him that way clears the waters, so to speak.

Rico's already working on that, and given that Aria wants to go to the surface and she and Gaul seem to hit off pretty well, it's pretty good odds she'll journey to the surface with the Gallette group after this is over.

Sure, but that's something suited for making visits, not long-term habitation stuff like joining Genoise. Aria hasn't shown signs of being much of a fighter, either, so it's not like she'd be suited to the group.

So from what I can understand, Verde is basically the "good intentions" boy who tried achieving Aria's wishes... by using a demonic sword, leading to the current predicament.

Also, this episode was MAXIMUM GAUL, with him taking the spotlight in the action department against Verde Also, Pegas' true form is... a horse dragon?

And of course, in the end Milhi's song gets everything right... though the lack of actual lyrics to the song (just a string of lalala) kinda deadened the impact for me

Interesting that Aria was watching everyone in the battles before everything began and was interested in Gaul even then. But the (sealed?) sword Verde found ... was that one of the ones that had been sealed long ago by everyone? But did they go inside the Star Whale?

Oh wow ... interesting ... "disciples" eh? Interesting development there ... and possibilities for future foes in later seasons. And Gaul ... Gaul goes to town against Verde, eh? Nice to see him be able to take off the kid gloves for a change. But Verde ... I feel kinda sorry for him and do not at the same time. Was glad Gaul and Shinku gave it to him.

Btw ... in his true form Pega is frikkin ... huge.

In the end, though, we finally get to have Milhiore singing ... something I have been waiting for all season.

And in fact for me a nice revalation was the part when it turned out that
