Well yea, the lack of imouto and onee-san antics pretty much killed the series for me.

Monthly releases are normal for 30 page chapters.
If you're talking about the translations, then yeah, it's slow. We currently have up to chapter 26 (vol. 5), but we can't do anything with it, because the translator has gone missing somewhere.

Considering that the light novel series doesn't look like it will ever get a conclusion, I suppose I wouldn't mind if Infinite Stratos was completely rebooted. Especially if the new author can actually write a coherent long-running story.

Come to think of it, I'm a bit surprised IS's publisher hasn't tried that, what with all the IS clones these days.
