Cloning does create issues with premature aging due to shortened telomeres. Take characters like Rau Le Creuset from Gundam Seed as an example. It's an issue that has been observed IRL as well.

The series is basically a meme at this point. It started (or at least popularized) the "one guy in all girls school" setting, which also contributes to the magic/special school setting.

According to IS11's summary, there's a massive focus on Cecilia, and Chelsea pilots the Blue Tears-III (likely actually called something else, like how the Silent Zephyrus was Blue Tears-II). The UK develops a satellite cannon of some kind, called 'Excalibur', I think?
