It's probably more closer to "his agency is trying to give him a massive push" then what you said, but he's seems a decent enough prospect for the moment and I'll take him over the other alternative I'll rather not named.

Kou Matsuo tends to be more particular about his castings than most directors. I wonder if he's going to be pre-recording the dialogue for this series as well...

This almost sounds like the 21st century version of Metal Armor Dragonar (a 80s mecha series which was supposedly used to introduced newcomers to the mecha genre it also involved lots of story elements from the original Gundam).

I'll definitely check it out and l I really hope the highschool setting is temporarily, if not I'll probably drop this in a heart beat.

Gundam 00 was pretty good. Gundam AGE... Not so much. I've got my fingers crossed that this will turn out better.

It's not, this is an Aniplex production, all Gundam series is Bandai.

That cast, that plot, and those character designs has me unduly excited for this project. I'm going to have to work to keep my enthusiasm in check. Mecha shows were what brought me to the world of anime so I am always on the lookout for new titles. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be more serious and less harem-ish than recent "mecha" titles (Asura Cryin, Infinite Stratos, and sadly, Gundam AGE).

The official website shows a new CM as well a handful of characters. I especially like the designs of some characters like Shoko and Saki and Angela, the band behind Asura Cryin' and K, will definitively perform the ending theme ! I will really looking forward to this more than before !!

I generally like TM Revolution and Angela's songs, so I'm surprised they starred in Valvrave to perform the theme songs !
