It happens....the game is delayed until June 26th. Roughly one month late.

I guess I should say we are lucky it only ends up with one month delay

The trial was nice , but fairly short... (2 chapters, chapter 1 covering episode 1 and chapter 2 covers ep 2. Also chapter 2 ends prematurely after picking the wrong choices )

And i don't have anything else to say, except that it's faitfull to anime minus the fact that you can pick some choices to alter small things like dying before reaching the Guild in the 2nd chapter or new character interactions

So for those who have played the demo, what do you all think?

It goes with each episode being a specific day, ie day 1 was episode 1, and day 2 was episode 2. And then we woke up in day 3 with episode 3 before the opening sequence.

The common route seems to be following the anime episodes, and if i remember correctly, they said it ends at the end of episode 9, when Otonashi gains his memories back.

Firstly, do you think we would get the two special episodes, stairway to heaven and hells kitchen, as episodes in the common route?

And also, do you all think we would get extra, game only common route episodes? I really hope so, because while Angel Beats is amazing, I would have preferred more content, but in the anime timeline "Hells Kitchen" happens before 'My Song", proven by the presence of Iwasawa, so I feel we may not get that in game form (whatever it is, it could just be the free time events where we can hang out with whoever all joined into one).

The BGM that picks up after waking up on the 2nd day slammed me with a fistful of nostalgia..! (and not to the anime, but to old VN classics)

Edit: Finished one route, just one thing to say: Tapeworm-kun just cannot get a break!
Edit2: Somehow I didn't get enough people, so Tapeworm and Hinata go play basketball! And it's Shiina with the 3-point dunk! Noda gets foul trouble? Hinata team cruises to a victory! ... Basketball in the anime would've been fun.

You forgetting that this is not a complete novel. There will by six parts and first part includes just common route that covers story into tenth episode of original anime and three routes for Iwasawa, Yui and Matsushita. Rest of characters will get own routes in future parts. So just wait. You will get Tenshi and Yuri route.

Pretty sure Kanade was supposed to have her route in 1st Beat, though. They can always say her's just gets expanded in each Beat though, or they could have just removed her route from this one and put it in 2nd Beat to get this out the door after so many delays. Yuri I think was stated to have her's as part of 6th Beat (last one).

I think some people are mistaking what is the meaning of why you can have "that" (no, not the romance part) with Iwasawa here. Not sure if this would be spoiler, since Iwasawa's past life was already told in the anime but just in case

So no, even if you can romance any other girls I doubt you can actually do "that" on them unless there is someone else who have the similar regret.

Not sure if this would be spoiler, since Iwasawa's past life was already told in the anime but just in case Spoiler for Nothing big, just the explanation: Iwasawa's regret is basically boiled to two things : -Unable to have normal family life -Unable to continue singing, and this is because of the injury from the quarrel within her family. So to sum it up, what lies in the root of her regret is the former. The message of Iwasawa's route still stay close to AB's theme, the player(Otonashi) is helping her to move on by building up her new family themselves. It's not really relevant whether the "new life" here is actually genuine or only stays as symbol, as by that point Iwasawa have managed to move on from her past life regret. So no, even if you can romance any other girls I doubt you can actually do "that" on them unless there is someone else who have the similar regret.
