Finally the full chapter 29 is out ...in chinese but at least i finally watched the full sceneario.

...turns out the fight isn't over yet, that pics with corna on the ground are after Einhart supoposedly K.O'ed her but the little girl refuses to lose and step up which i find totally understandable after the jarring dick-move Tsuzuki just made.

the chapter begins with einhart on the ropes and about to be defeated, apparently she figured out something about Corona's new fight-style but her body is too bruised and slow to do something about it, then the bell saves her sorry butt ending the first part of the fight, from this point on einhart proceed to counter every-single-move from Corona and depleting her life in small but constant amounts(Death of a Thousand Cuts?) culminationg in a powerfull blow that apparently knock out the girl, then Corona rises, they both exchange gazes and the episode ends.

Personally i find this kind of thing a bit jarring, it made look as if Einhart only managed to won because of the pause, and also hinder some of Corona's achieved awesomeness gathered in past chapters because of the brutal curbstomp Einhart delivers to the poor creature after the pause. In fact, that make both look worse in a sense, i don't klnow how this is gonna end but i regret this because it's a big stain in an otherwise totally awesome fight.

Well, we're when we got last episode, Corona is on the verge of defeat ...again! The only difference is that now her secret weapon has been rendered useless by Einhart's plot armor skill, still Corona refuses to throw the towel and start attacking Einhart in a hit-and-run pattern(which makes sense since her life points almost reached zero) but soon proves to be a mistake as Einhart is still superior to Corona in close combat, the poor creator barely escpaes with some remaining life and looks desperate until Otto screams something to her, i guess it's something among the lines of "fight as yourself" or "get back to your roots" because immediately Corona takes distance, returns Brunzel to it's dagger mode and performs a creation circle, Einhart probably is a bit tired or cautious as she didn't do anything to stop Corona from summoning her Golem.

The two reasume battle this time with Corona and the golem attacking simultaneously, Corona summons golem parts to powerr her own attacks again, Einhart is surprised at firt but quickly adapts and start throwing attacks of her own(even parrying freaking giant rock punches xDU). Corona remembers her training with Vivio and the latter's praising of her creator abilities, Nove screams something, Corona then summons various stalactites in what appears to be the rock version of Photon Lancer Phalanx Shift, she bombards Einhart which is distrated by the attack and is then surprised by a combined bind(rock emerges to hold her legs while chain binds emerge to trap the rest of her body), Corona then command her Golem into crushing Einhart with his giant fist, it seemes to work at first but then Einhart emerget by destroying the fist with a Shoryuken-like move, we see Asteion over a Belkan Triangle as apparently the kitty had something to do with such an outstanding counter-strike. Quickly Einhart attempts to go for corna and end the battle, Corona parry with a rock-han and send einhart flying back and THEN she attempts to end the fight by taking advantage of the momentum and get back on her giant's shoulder to launche her ultimate attack ...the SPINNING ROCKET PUNCH! ...i don't know how the heck that works but Einhart in a defensive stance manage to stop cold the damn thing with ONE HAND! Then passes through the hand and anhilates the entire golem, Corona STILL hasn't given up yet(at this point it's woobie material T-T) and rearranges the rocks still falling in the air to form a spining fist controlled by herself and attempts to punch Einhart in the back, the Hegemon turns back and smashes trough the thing direct into Corona's, knocking her out and ending her suffering for good.

Einhart rushes to Corona and hold her in her arms, Corona with little tear-pearls on her eyes smiles softly(a nice change from the usual "ViVid smile" phenomena) and says something with the woobiest face ever showed in this manga to date apparently among the lines of "i-i ...fought well, isn't?". Einhart hugs her while Vivio and Rio look moved at the tear jerking scene, the teams finally came and the girls are taken to the infirmary.

Otto and Nove are by Corona's side on her bed, Otto cheers Corona up and Nove seems to be flat out excited and saying to Corona how awesome she is, corona smiles and apparently primises to do it better next time, Otto seems to be attempting to calm the girl a little xDU. Wendy and Dieci are with Einhart congratulating her and Asteion, the three recognized the merit of the victory belongs in great part to the great effort this kitty device put into defending his master, Teo looks tired and is taking a nap(how this even wor- nevermind xDU). Vivio and Rio are in the corridor excited about their next battles and wondering something(oh, by the way, the corridor is full of contestants and NONE of them is male xDU).

On the arena Victoria Dalgryon has entered the scene covered in an amazing-looking armour(no, serously, this ties easily with Harii Tribecca's "Banchou" Jacket as the most amazing-looking Barrier Jacket in ViVid ....of course, because they're rivals xDDD!!!). Surprisingly, Victoria looks calm and serious and it's her incoming opponent Shante the one who looks confident and conceited(no, really, Sein and Schach apparently try to warn her about her opponent but she sports a "piece of cake" attitude xDU).

Chapter ends.

Tsuzuki goes off the mess pretty well with this chapter, there was good stuff in it even if i ended up with a bittersweet taste about some stuff that also happened in it. Overall, this fight does wonders for my appreaciation of Corona, she was totally rescued form the scrappy heap in my eyes.

On the other hand, it rested some sypathetic points to Einhart to me as she comes as sort of inconsistent during this fight, at first she seems her usual battle-self(imponent, cold, awesome!), then Corona trounced her so hard that said image of Einhart crumbled to pieces, then the bell saves Einhart's butt which was a terrible writing move as it almost completely demerited Einhart's latter comeback when it turns out she was holding back the entire time which makes her to look like a smug super, then she starts lording her superiority all over Corona not with her mouth but with her fists.

From this point onwards the fight gets good again because AT LEAST remains consistent on the power levels, Corona makes a truly valiant effort to fight a superior adversary and despite the obvious result she can be seen as someone who gave everything in battle and go down just after she lasted every possible chance and resource at her dispossal. Einhart's "guilty" face when she embraces Corona gived me mixed feelings, on one hand i found it truly heartwarming and as an apologize for understimating Corona's capacity with the "holding back" thing. On the other hand, also strikes me as something like "i apologize for being too strong" which is kind of smuggy -_-.

But again, all i have is images, i need text, hope the tranlators pick this up quickly.

...oh, on the incoming match i guess Victoria's mind is more with Sieglinde than in the battlefield, i guess Shante will takle advantage of this at first and make the Warrior Princess struggle ...until Sieg-chan appears on the terrace and tells Victoria to don't worry and do her best, then Victoria will deliver a sound beating to that mischievous little nun xD.

Probably, after the said sound beating she will receive from Victoria, Shante will learn to take things seriously for once and listen to the wise lessons she learned from Schach and score a yet another underdog victory xD

Thin will probably be not that bad for Victoria, tough. As Tsuzuki apparently is cooking something with her and Sieglinde about the past of the undefeated champ. If Victoria gets defeated here she will get more time to focus on whatever worries she have for Sieglinde and we probably see more scenes focused on both of them, i kind of like the idea xD.

The Shanti v. Victoria scene is at the end of the first round. Neither looks the worse for wear but there is a comment that Shanti is ahead on points. Probably the reason she looks smug.

Personally I expect she will lose so that we can have a battle of kings between Victoria and Einhart.

Shanti's not ahead on points, she had slightly more HP than Victoria at the end of the first round. That was thanks to evading the whole time. But it looks like she's ready to go non the offensive for round two.

She was just testing Victoria's strength and habits throughout the first round, and from her confident declaration in the end you would almost say this could be an easy victory. If not, expect at least some sneaky tricks for this showdown.

But in the end Nanoha can blow them all up in one shot in serious mode. If you compare her 9 years old self to all these competitors she was already near the top (Losing only to Einhalt, Vivio, Lutecia maybe), and when I look at the level of magic she showed in Force to these fights... >_>

I think Shante is gonna lose. She'll give Victoria a run for her money, but then Victoria will pull out all the stops. It'll be a good lesson for the overconfident Shante, who felt Vivio wasn't taking things seriously enough and wasn't ready. Instead, it'll be Shante who wasn't ready.

I haven't read the last (unavailabe) seven chapters, and I still wouldn't have bet against this outcome.

Shante is not supposed to be the darkhorse of this competition; that's supposed to be Vivio and/or Einhart.

It's as simple as knowing who the main/title character is.

Lessee, character who hails from a Belkan royal bloodline in a story in which said bloodlines are pretty much the only plotpoints, or a churchgirl who's connection to said bloodlines is merely one of friendship and has received no plot threads of her own.

Yeah, the odds are pretty clear here.

So far ViVid has been done a good job balancing the situations between opponents to avoid giving a clear notion of who's going to win, this argument aver the fight between Victoria and Shante is enough proof of that. Unlike the "other" manga xDU

Had Corona won her fight against Einhart, all bets would have been off. Now though? The situation is pretty clear. Not a chance Victoria is going to lose before she gets her plot threads resolved.

Yeah, it might be a close fight, but Victoria is going to win.

I'm not talking about the plot, i'm talking about the atmosphere, it's realxing not having that feeling of "bah! this guy will utterly destroy this other guy, it's clear as day", Einhart won but was on the ropes for a good part of the fight, Miura more likely won by good luck rather than being a better fighter than Micaiah and so on, the only clear-cut curbstomps were on the preliminaries and the victories of Harii Tribecca and that traditional witch girl.

In the "other" manga that "one-sided fight" feeling is all over the place xDU.
