Hmm, not much happened, but it was fun to watch as usual, with some nice swimsuit fanservice to top it off. I liked the bread in the mouth parody, even though the one in SYD was better

I quite liked the little bit of drama added towards the end, though it's a shame it's pretty obvious nothing is going to happen on the romance side of the story.

Eris in her two piece black swimsuit stole the episode though. Along with those hilarious Americans in the car.

That narration about them marrying in the future surprised me. I didn't know this show had narration, much less making the whole show about past events

The bread-in-mouth entrance was the best laugh I've had from this show in a while.

The narration was just a joke. I have a feeling it's a parody of something, but I have no idea what. Maybe someone else got the reference.

Another entertaining episode...first off, the thing I envy most from Kio besides his harem is high school. Seriously, a high school where you can be popular simply by being kind, gentle and an anime fan? Why the hell wasn't I there in high school? Also, the high school lets a cat alien, a 12-year old girl, and two obviously-adult (with their guns, no less) girls transfer in so easily...I suppose a huge amount of money is necessary for that.

Also, the two girls in the club adds to the hot girls in this show...I particularly like Arisa. I was salivating when I saw the eyecatch...when I saw the bowl of food, I was hungry. Well, the screen before that as well, but for slightly different reason. Hope to see them around again. Also, I find it funny that we know the girls name, but not the other two guys. In fact, have any of the other male beside Kio been properly introduced with names?

The rest of the episode flows around quite nicely, despite being a beach episode it's not just fanservice for the whole episode (although what's there is excellent indeed), there's some developments in the romantic aspect as well as the battle against the Doggy race plot. There's even a new (loli) character introduced, who seems to be quite important as she knows the alien races. Didn't think of her as a onmyouden before I read this thread though, I thought the paper are just very advanced technology of some kind.

Can't wait for next episode, seems it'll be about the Dog lady?

Thanks, Midonin. The main reason I said I had a feeling this was a parody is because the song used in that scene sounded VERY familiar. I should have recognized it... I guess Bewitched was popular everywhere, huh.

That's in the manga, but I think they were saying something about EMP shield or something in the anime? I'm not sure though. That makes me think that the anime may substitute magic with sufficiently advanced technology, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Well, let's just see about her in future episodes. Oh, and a bit about the shikigami in the previous ep:

Indeed, in the manga it's very obvious, the kekkai and the paper doll is very similar to those as in Kekkaishi. She's also freelance though, as she says the Cat Cult hires her services.

You have NO IDEA how imporrtant Bewitched was in contributing to Otaku cuture; Samantha is the model on which ALL Japanese Magical Girl characters are based on!

That's why the word "Witch" in Japan have nothing to do with poisoned apples, gingerbread houses or warts.

Although "Bewitched" did play a major role this is not entirely true since "Maho Tsukai Sally(Sally the Witch)" which also aired at around the same time influenced the Japanese culture equally. (The author admits that Maho Tsukai Sally was inspired by Bewitched)
The two program both started airing in 1966 in Japan.
