Jean
A random commoner from the Republic (The guardian tree arc's setting). Leon found Jean when he took a part-time job at a family restaurant. (This is because Mary was angry at the five idiots only spending money yells at them to make money!). Jean is aware that Leon is a noble and tries very hard to make sure that Leon doesn't get pissed off (since most nobles of the Republic have already shown had crazy it gets). He was once a student in the Republic's Academy but had to drop out because his financial situation was becoming dire. Leon, however decides to personally fund Jean so that he may get an education and help further any plots Leon will have in the Republic's future. More memorably, Jean is the owner of Noel, the dog.

Noel, the dog
Noel, the dog was originally in a very pitiful situation. On a whim (no not a calculated plan to milk more money) Leon decided to save dog!Noel and take care of her. However, Luxon informed Leon that even if he invested resources to heal dog!Noel it will still not survive past a week. Leon decided that he will take care of dog!Noel anyway and treats her the best he can (yes, he was not being a P.O.S. this time). For instance, to make sure that dog!Noel would feel relaxed in the last few days Leon purposefully purchased a baby's crib, the best dog food, and spend as much time as he can with it. This is while the five idiots just had to force Leon to hand over his (recognized to be the treasure from the dungeon) ship named, Partner. After being saved by Leon, it had a peaceful life for the last days of its life and was fond of Leon. It even died peacefully, and Leon decided to burn dog!Noel’s body into ashes and keep it in a jar. When Jean heard what happened to Noel, the dog, he was grateful that it didn't spend what little time it had hating Jean and living as happily as it can. Jean was also given the jar containing dog!Noel’s ashes.

Noel, the priestess
The heroine of the sequel galge. She was originally in an abusive relationship with Erik because her twin sister (with a bigger bust) urged her to do so. Noel followed what her sister said because her parents pretty much ordered her to follow what her twin says due to the parents putting all their hopes of removing the tree's protection from Republic's nobility into the twin (the twin was furthering these goals accidentally). She was freed from said relationship when Leon decided to intervene. Eventually became the priestess of Leon's sapling instead. Has feelings for Leon and is shy but not against being in a romantic relationship with Leon. Conveniently has the same name as the dog and Olivia and Angie assumed Leon was not taking care of dog!Noel (sheltering it, feeding it, keeping it relaxed), but taking care of human!Noel (implied mistress). Has a buff male servant who acts like an okama and is a part of the Republic Academy’s teaching staff.

Kyle's mother
Female elf. Can't remember her name. Has a magic that accelerates the growth of plants. May also be able to speak with plants as well (I'm assuming here). Hired as a servant of Leon's parents’ house. I think she has big breasts, but I may be wrong.

Spoiler for Unconfirmed Past:

One of the first creatures created from labs similar to Cleare's lab and sent to an unspecified old human outpost. Spent a long time with an old human botanist creating a plant that can contain magic. The only successful plant was taken away from said outpost because the war reached that location and she was given permission to leave with that plant and make sure that it survives.

The ship wasnt really stolen, it was a plan by MC . He used the ship and all the androids on it to plunder the kingdom and the pushed the blame to the one who stole the ship by bathing them in alchol and voice change program .

Don't forget that for good measure, Leon and Luxon allowed the aristocrat thief to do whatever he wanted for several days. I remembered that some officials made minor complaints on how the ship crashed into less important ships but those incidents were waived and the thief continued screwing around with his new toys until Leon found a sapling to force the thief into accepting Leon's challenge and conditions.

This is also the same sapling that Cnine mentioned earlier.

In the WN just how many unfortunate girls fall for our scum MC leon...seriously is it even possible? He is not hidding is scumness at all, While we have Livia & Anjie but is it really love? Or just over friendly affection mistaken as love? Just how many poor soul fallen inlove due to misunderstanding with leon?

The thing is, if you read carefully his scumness is half assed. He's not even in the same league as Hercule from Santairiku Eiyuuki. Leon used to vow revenge to the noble brats that harassed him and beat them up, but he clearly didn't. He's half assed that way.

Reading the novel I can't say he is scum.
He is perceived as scum by the people he defeats and unfair from others but he didn't kill anyone, didn't cripple/kill the 5 when he could in a perfectly legal duel, helped Olivia, made everyone understand that the 5 idiots way to leave their fiancee was the actual cruel move, made spoiled noble kids understand that gambling is wrong before they have really too much to lose in a bet.
He didn't break one rule, the modified bike was broken and he fixed it, too well maybe.
The truth hurts and he is just spreading it around him.

I prefer a MC that go heavy handed to a dumb one, hope he doesn't really becomes more stupid later to balance his OPness.
I believe the spoiled sisters he got in his reincarnation was to make us readers understand that all said and done he will always love and protect his family, so that when the "old" sister get revealed he accepting her doesn't turn too strange to us after all the internal dialogues he had on how much he hated her.
And his proposal to the queen sounded honest, all the reasons he made to go after her were good, the daughter becoming a fiancee was probably because the author realized she was too good and had to give the MC something without killing the king, I bet the princess resemble the mother but is loli, will even make the prince go berzerker as side bonus.
A bit sad for gertrude, but looking at her character art I don't think she survived.

Speaking of political intrigue: I remember that some of the King's ministers agreed with the King to raise Leon's court rank just so they can potentially marry their daughters onto Leon and piggyback protection that would come with it. I believe this occurred while the King was arguing with the Queen about marrying off their daughter.

To be fair, a truly asshole to the core person would be that way toward everyone (which do appear in the later on) while for Leon is only aimed to those that treat him or people close to him badly that way (so far everyone that Leon treats that way have in some way deverved it, and whenever it was too much or too little deserver will wary based on personal opinions) and to be honest, Leon cares a lot more about people that a lot of other characters do in comparation.

She isn't at the level of "fallen in love" but she does think highly of him for what he did for her and while she doesn't become a love interest (since she appears a few times after this) her father wants for Leon to become his daughter's husband.

Leon so far is no idiot, naive and unmotivated yes but not stupid, him being naive comes from the fact that his ideologies aren't shared by the rest (like while he doesn't want to kill and think that wars and those to fight in them are really stupid for throwing away their lifes like that, other are fine with doing all that for their country) but if forced to, Leon doesn't hold back, and will do a thoughtful job to eliminate his enemies and get a complete victory.

Regarding the princess, she isn't a loli and her personality is that of someone that acts like a kind girl on the outside, but is really wicked in the inside.

It was only one minister who was Clarice's father and what he agreed to was for the princess to become Leon's legal wife, since that way his daughter can marry him too and it wasn't for her be under his protection, but for her to be happy (what he said being Leon's rank got raised was that he should have married his daughter if he didn't wanted to get promoted, since to be a Marquis means to have a tie to the royal family, which Leon would get by marrying Angelica).

Olivia: Protagonist of the first game, she loves Leon because of him being the one who saved her from being alone in the academy, for motivating her to stay in the academy while most wanted her to leave, and for always treating her with kindness and protecting her.

Angelica: Villainess of the first game, she loves Leon for helping her when no one else would, for being angry for her sake, and for risking his life to save her (not as the duke's daughter, but the person named Angelica) back when she was kidnapped.

Noel: Protagonist of the second game, she loves Leon since he saved her from the abusive relationship she was on with Erik (to note, she wasn't allowed to talk back, had to allways obey him, got hit if he was annoyed, hell she was even forced to wear a collar tied to a chain so that she couldn't escape when going out), he did his best in order for her to regain her emotions that had died from the abusive relationship, like talking to her everyday, being at her side when she needed it, treating her like a independent person, etc.

Clarice: Daughter of a count, while she doesn't love him like the rest, and also barely appears after her initial introduction, she does think highly of Leon due to him helping her to move on from her hate to Jilk from abandoning her, and for not seeing her in less for what she has done so far.

Erica: Princess of the Kingdom and the villainess of the third game, she still hasn't appeared in the story but the queen wants her to beome Leon's legal wife. She aparents being a kind girl but in truth she has a very wicked personality

Imperial princess: Protagonist of the third game and a exchange student from the Empire. Her name hasn't been revealed so far and while it is doubtful if she will fall in love with Leon, the fact is that the protagonists of the two prequels did fell in love with Leon so there is a chance.She isn't aware of the fact she is a princess.

Just a minor detail, but it was a republic not a kingdom, as it was governed by a group of noble families instead of a king.

And to be fair, they weren't aware they were betting Leon's ship and their condition to win the duel was completely unfair in the first place.

What happened is that they got involved with a noble from the republic, who injured badly one of them just because they were getting pouplar in the academy, and they were forced to accept the bet since he had him as a hostage, and the bet was completely unfair since to win, they had to kill each other between themselves, it was after the lost that the noble demanded the ship they came from (they weren't aware of what the noble wanted if he won) and the weird magic that the republic had thanks to the tree is what let him to have ownership of Leon's ship and armor (Luxion of course managed to easily resist that, but procceded with Leon's orders to act as if the magic worked).

It isn't that hard to know considering that all the girls that are interested in Leon aren't like that (with the only exception being Clarice but if you have already read the lastest translated chapters you should know why it is like that).

It's only the Kingdom's middle ranked noble women that have the demi-human lovers, since lower ranked coudln't afford one and higher ranked ones had to keep a proper appearance considering their high position while women in other countries are normal, so this makes it impossible for the princess to have any relation with a man considering the fact that she is the daughter of the legal wife of the king, the king's favourite daughter, have a high ranking noble as a fiance and being only 14-years old (soon to be 15). The same goes for the imperial princess, since the empire is most likely normal, she was raised as a commoner girl, and the protagonists from otome games always experience their first love in the game so no previous relationship

As for Noel, it was confirmed that other that treating her violently (like hitting her) Erwin didn't touch her body at all neither did he kiss her.

Well...most girls in isekai want to be together with a MC because 1-he saved their ass, 2-their family ass, 3-their country ass or 4-is strong/rich (there is more).
So this novel girls not jumping on Leon after he helped them the first time is different from the usual, in a good way, not too easy or totally taken by the suspension bridge effect.
When Olivia seems to wish to be with him she understands her social position when Anjelica is still in the down period after getting her love broken(at least in the TL novel I'm reading, if Olivia knew how being a Saint would remove that barrier she would probably go for him more, when Anjelica appreciate him more at every interaction)

He just wanted to get expelled from nobilty, get a commoner waifu and retire on his island, maybe even destroyed the game bosses stealthly.
Now instead he is climbing the social ladder and a normal companion is always more far.
