They're not one-shotting marines in that video. The first marine takes both of them to kill (a marine would also die to 2 archon shots in SC1) and the rest have already taken splash damage so they die faster. Look at the top marine in the video. It was out of range of the splash damage and took 2 hits from one archon.
In other words, they seem to be exactly the same as archons from SC1, so far anyway. As I've already said, everything we see is subject to change. |

New updates from (where else?) Korea...
The Thor Terran unit has a very slow rate of fire, and move/turn slowly. However it would be devistating against buildings. It is currently the size of a building, and can only be constructed by an SCV. See if you can find Thor in this picture...:P The Banshee is a new Terran craft that attacks as an air-to-ground missile volley (Think Valkyrie) bomber craft, with cloaking ability. No anti-air. The Viking attacks air only while in aerial mode, and attack ground only in mech mode. The Reaper infantry can lay mines. But the mines don't track mobile targets; rather, it only locks onto stationary units or buildings. This can be useful, as an entire army can move into a minefield unknowing, and only realised when they stopped and the mines closed in... The Cobra is a new Terran hover unit. It is a very fast vehicle that could attack while moving. (may replace vulture) Ghost: Can still cloak and launch nukes. Unknown if lockdown remained. Gained "Snipe", an attack that heavily damage biological units only. (TvZ would be fun...) Also gained the ability to summon 6 marines at a time. Battle Cruiser: Gained a new anti-ground special-attack that cause massive area-of-effect damage named Plasma Injection. Guess there is now more than one way to use the BC's energy... Marine: Kept the range upgrade and stimpack. New upgrade of +15 hp available (old new to most of you) Command Centers can now carry up to five SCVs with it when it lifts off. Building addons: There are now only TWO types of addons, both of which can be used for Barracks, Factories, or Starports. The Reactor allows doubling of production by allowing the attached building to make two units at the same time, while the Tech Center allows construction of higher tech units like medics or Vikings. Each building can only have one addon at a time. Sensor Dome and Radar Dome: Now, this is a tough one to understand... What I read don't make much sense. They are both detector buildings, but the description of their functions were confusing.

Well, the Korean site said the Thor's attack speed and turn rate is so bad, it can get killed by fast-moving units using hit-and-run. We are not even sure if it could defend against air attacks yet...

What are those little guys beside the Thor in that screenshot? Looking a little Medieval with them big shields and bayonet attachments. Unrevealed new Terran infantry?

That shouldn't be an issue; I would imagine such a troop-drop would be treated the same way as a nuke drop, with a red dot from laser marking and a long delay time. (Troop drop might not be "annouced" like a nuke does.) If a ghost actually manages to get into your resource fields, you are in trouble either way.
