Absolutely. I live in a town in New England of about 37,000 residents (and about 30,000 more when the college kids are in town), and you can find small stands like that scattered all over the outskirts of the town, even within a mile of the center of town. They usually have heavy steel boxes with a slit on top (just like the show) to put your money in, a heavy padlock, with the box being welded to a farm trailer or some such other heavy immovable metal object.

Why Mari? Komari is the older-but-smaller one: she didn't pull any pranks. She was the victim all day, but everyone will think of her if you say Mari.

Those curves look at least 7-8 years ahead of her actual age. 11 year-old don't normally develop to that extent.

Another enjoyable episode, I must say. All round laughter mostly focusing on Koma-chan's troubles. Renge had her moments as well, as did Hotaru's hilarious breakdown upon hearing that her beloved senpai might have been kidnapped. Natsumi's mischief serves to paint her as the prankster of the group, and pretty much adds another dynamic to the cast.

Renge had quite the spike there, right into Natsumi's face.

Having been in a similar situation to Komari's (when I was in 8th grade I looked a good 5 or 6 years younger than I really was, at least) it's easier for me to conceptualize than a 10-year-old looking 18 or more.

Besides, I don't think anyone's criticising. We're just saying that Hotaru doesn't look her age.

Actually, I happened to know a young lady who was an "early bloomer" like Hotaru, though she was 11 when I first met her. So I was only kinda surprised when Hotaru was introduced in the manga. Believe you me, such early bloomers have it tough. -_-

Yeah, normally I'd feel weird for finding a 10 or 11 year old anime girl hot, but I can't in this case. It's a mid/late teens character design in pretty much every way.

For a show whose first episode left pretty much zero impression on me, I really have gotten into this show. Renge for most adorable loli of autumn 2013.
