Its how the manga tells the story. It was never planned that a second series would happen after the first, it ended ended in a way that the story couldn't continue. Its just that the manga carries on with the story after the Dragon Hakufu story finished (where the first season ended). I just wish the anime could have shown the real end to Toutaku - the best character in the story if you ask me.

I really hope they have Taishi Ji come back and join up with Hakufu/Nanyo. Him and Ukitsu would really give Nanyo a good chance against Sousou Makoto. That and Nanyo an Seito joining will be insane to watch.

01: Ton's fight in the alleyway lasts a lil bit longer in the manga - with more actually contact between himself and Koshaji (her name wasen't given in the manga). I don't mind the leave outs, though i do like the way Ton loses his eye more in the manga.

02: Ryomou appearing at the end --- thats completely new! All i can think is that we'll be getting changes like this more often in the series, so it'll have an actually ending. The manga hasn't length & when it'll end haven't been mentioned yet, so they'll go for something new.

Anyway, i really enjoy the second episode. Very happy that my favorite character, Toutaku was mentioned. Still i wish the first anime could have gone the manga way with him, but that was a while ago, and i've forgiven them with this second season (they've made it upto me :3).

Seeing Sousou start to awaken was always pretty interesting in its own way. & the fact that Ton notices the change in him straight away is something i'm glad they didn't miss out. While on the subject of Ton --- yay for not changing his eye-patch design! o/

& of course, this wouldn't be a episode 02 post with mentioning Kan-u in battle. It was only a lil' feature into her power, but man it was amazing. Judging from the battle scenes, i can see a lot of good ones in the future.

I can't even remember how the first series ended? What was the difference between how the anime and manga ended that part of the story?

Alright, I can forgive 3 mostly Hakufu-less episodes for the entrance she had at the end of this ep. #4 looks to be full of Hakufu though.

Super brief summary

Spoiler:

Ryomou kicks Chouhi around a little bit, then Ryuubi's dragon awakens and Ryomou goes straight for her with the seal while her eye starts bleeding. She's thrown back and then runs off. Elsewhere, Shiba and Kakuka are plotting while Sousou beats around his underling. Ryuubi has meanwhile been chained up while they figure out what to do with her. Another Kakuka and Bunwa sex scene later, Kakuka is attacked on the street by someone I didn't recognize who beats him and stabs him in the heart for Bunwa to find. Sousou does his all "I'm pissy and my aura kills birds" thing. Cut to Shouyu running to school and a quick shot of all the Nanyo fighters ending with him yelling at Hakufu who is screwing around on the roof ledge. She gets pissed, jumps off the roof and creates a massive shockwave/crater in the shape of a coiled dragon on landing, then trips. End episode. Preview stuff was pretty much all Hakufu though.

The first series was a complete new ending - mainly because a second season was never planned back then. There's a huge difference in what happens in both the manga and the anime at that point.

Wow, its not just Ryomou appearing, many parts of the series are new. Looks like i was right that the series shall take on a different role to the manga, though keep the characters stories the same. Anyway, episode 03's a pretty solid episode:

Kakuka's death? Yeah, i seen that coming --- and yes we have a complete new character i believe, wonderful, cute & deadly, just like most of the females in this story. & Sousou --- wow. That was a show of GAR right there with the power-up/dragon appearing. That bird was in the wrong place, and the wrong time.

Now.. i have to talk about you know what! Hakufu's wonderful 'about time' entrance into the series. Still packed with her wonderful moe arse-kicking attitude. & yes, i'm probably the only person happy to see Koukin again. As for next episode, well --- like it was mentioned it'll mainly feature Hakufu goodness. Also, Koumei appears at the end of the preview --- looks like Ryuubi meeting her shall be pretty soon

so the question im just dying to find out the answer is the true use of that globe Ryomou was holding ~ taking a guess i think she was trying to help ryuubi to gain her mind after her dragon broke or she was trying to seal that power away ~

i didnt expect Kakuka to die that fast tbh ~ he seemed like a person who can last quite a long way ~ guess i was wrong
and at first i thought the cute new girl Ma Su was actually kanu in disguise (and did i mention that she is cute? :3)

now Sousou is pissed...and omg his power cannot be calculated...that chi blast

hakufu next and what an entrance :3 i liked the way she also labeled the dragon into the ground while jumping off the building

Yeah, you're right --- its Bashoku Youjou. A lil' search through the manga found her straight away. Oh, and its volume 08.

Yeah, I'm not more than passingly familiar with the manga source. I just can't read Japanese nearly as well as I can speak it, and certainly can't crossmatch the names given how much of a corruption of the original most are. *shrug*

Hmm --- its hard to say at this point. There's a lot of material to go from, though with the lil' changes in the story here & and there in Dragon Destiny, it could go anyway in terms of Hakufu's control over the Dragon.

The Kunai assassin is Hu Che'er (sp?). He was a general under Zhang Xue (sp?) He led the ambush agaisnt CaoCao that kill both Dian Wei and Cao Ang.

The girl with the Long, White-ish Hair - If she who I think you are refering to, she is Zhao Yun.

Do you know their Japanese names. I see teh Kunai girls' name was mentioned later in this thread, so I don't need that one anymore, and the "Ma Su" who was mentioned might be the girl I described as "looking like Ryofu".
