The troll faces were good. Bern's was more of a evil smile deal but it was still a heck of a lot better then most of the trolls faces in the game.
- edit Does anyone know what the secret CG in the picture box is?

I sort of want to get this, but the price tag is rather steep,
especially considering all I'm gonna do with it is look at the pretty new visuals and listen to the voice-acting. Though if there's ever going to be a PS3-to-PC voice patch like what Mirrormoon did with Fate/Stay-Night or something akin to Waku-Waku's Realta Nua integration patch for the visuals, then I'll have to get it. But until that time... eh, i dunno. |

My copy will arrive Monday. However, I won't be able to play it until Christmas, when I get my PS3.

On the topic of potential English dubbing, I had a few dream actor ideas bouncing around my head today:
Kinzo: Michael McConnohie. Yeah, kind of obvious, really. Imagine "Ooooooh, Beatrice!" in his Charles zi Britannia voice, lol. ("ALL HAIL ROKKENJIMA!") Eva: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. I really think she's the only one who could pull it off, really. The deep, athoritative tone of her voice, and the ability to sound really pissed off but really in control fits. Ronove: Crispin Freeman. Come on; he's parfecto for the role! Freeman's smooth delivery, and his ablilty to add smarm to the most innocent and non-threataning lines made me think demon butler. Battler: Andrew Francis. I liked his version of Haseo in .hack//Roots, and felt, if he held back a little on the tone of constant boredom Haseo seemed to possess, he could pull of the lead ginger role's pretty well. Rudolf: Steve Blum. I don't know why, but Blum just clicked in place for me when I thought of it. I like the bravado and sarcasm he brought to Spike Speigel, and the more reserved businesslike/cool-headed touch he had as Roger Smith. Mix the two up, and you got one rich deadbeat dad. Right now, I'm trying to think of a good Beato. McGylnn stuck out for her to me too, but I felt she sounded more Eva-ish.

McConnohie as Kinzo is also a nice fit. Personally I think Megan Hollingshead could pull off a better Eva, after hearing her in Code Geass. As for Rudolf, though Blum is indeed nice, he obviously should be played by Jack Bauer! |
