I prefer naval and space combat table top games to those with armies. Battlefleet Gothic was fun a bit. But Warhammer 40k tournaments take over rooms and are usually loud. The tiny Full Thrust, Babylon 5 Wars, or Star Blazers Fleet Battles games get kind of drowned out. Or back to 20th century naval wars with General Quarters III.

Okay, just got myself that nifty looking Citadel Spraygun:

1) Are sprayguns hard to use?

2) Am I just better of sticking to using brushes to coat my figures?

I have gotta say, never heard of anyone airbrushing miniatures. Vehicles sure, maybe base coating, but those things aren't exactly...known for their detailed finesse.

But don't manga artists use airbrushes when they need a "soft and cloudy" effect? For the covers I mean.

My husband uses the spraygun to base coat and to apply foundation colors to his figures. He uses brushes for detailed work. I don't remember him commenting much on whether the sprayguy is harder to use than a spray paint can.

The spray gun is fine for base coating miniatures but for detail work you'd need a dual action airbrush with a fine needle and a compressor.

Just like a normal brush it takes practice to use effectively.
