Hmmm...I could say that this episode was pretty good so far, it shows a lot of potential to be better than season two, of course. I actually liked the new OST even if it doesn't really match much the hyper strong musical vibe from the previous seasons' soundtracks, the rad fighting choreography moves does somewhat make up for it. From the looks of the Autoscorers, I'm guessing they possess the souls of the main cast' deceased friends (or as you may knew it, it's Kanade, Nastassja, Serena and Fine) if it actually happens, Carol and Elfnein act rather shadowy regarding their flashbacks. To top it off, Tsubasa's new song at the end is a major departure from Japanese-style techno pizazz in favor of standard contemporary pop idolness.

To summarize, it's the only Friday show this season I'm going to look forward every week (besides Soma), cliffhangers may sound annoying to some but it really doesn't stop me from seeing what happens next!

I just watched the first episode. Symphogear is BACK!

Holy crap. Where to begin. Starting the episode off with Hibiki and the gang cutting through a mountain and throwing a space shuttle over a building.

Division 2's existence is now public knowledge.

More KirikaXShirabe ship fuel.

The concert was simply incredible. Seriously, combining the aerial choreography with the water-skating and the special effects at the concert hall made for some really incredible visuals.

Hibiki's new transformation sequence was done well.

The Maria/Tsubasa vs Phara fight was also really intense (Plus, I love the new variation on Tsubasa's old fiery windblades attack).

Just so much hype in one episode. Is it next Friday yet?

So Carol's parents suffer a Salem Witch trial burning. Bummer. Hibiki's first meeting with Carol doesn't end well. Good starting episode. It was nice that they salvaged Natassaja's body.

Woo now that is the way to start a new season .

Just the first 6 minutes was pure awesome. I mean geeze, forget minor scuffles. Let's fire the girls into space, have them help a shuttle survive re-entry, then survive getting through all the terrain by blasting mountains and rock formations, then finishing it off with avoiding decimating a town with a Hibiki suplex!

A lot of good stuff, covering the passage of time and getting us right into things. Also wow....Chris has one hell of a TV . Nice little moments like the Kirika and Shirabe stuff and just coming back to Hibiki's family situation there.

The concert was great. The song was excellent and quite the bit of flash going with it. The fight after was also good. Tsubasa getting some shots in, but this isn't an opponent that she'll deal with that easily.

Looking forward to jumping to Chris's own fight in the next episode to see how she's doing against coin-girl.
