A little bit of correction: Gundam Hathaway grossed 2.2+ Billion Yen, not 2.1.

A few things:
- The mention of the Kipchak Khanate places Foundation in the historical Cumania region on the Eurasian steppe. Possibly a stand-in for modern-day Kazakhstan.
- Orphee's ring brings forth two different theories (which might or might not be disproved in later chapters, who knows) to explain its existence:

1. Lacus' mother had ties to the Accords (maybe as a sleeper agent implanted into PLANT's ruling families?), and was selected as the childbearer for the programmed "queen" of this new race.
2. Orphee has been snooping around, found out about the keepsake and had a similar ring forged with the same inscription ("ASH NAZG DURBATULÛK, ASH NAZG GIMBATUL, ASH NAZG THRAKATULÛK, AGH BURZUM-ISHI KRIMPATUL" ...sorry, couldn't resist ) to further manipulate Lacus. By the way, this is the same ring that is seen floating in lunar space at the end of the movie.

Chapter 3 concludes volume 1.

All this movie talk got me going back to look at some parts of Destiny I liked, and can I just say I really liked the presentation at the Battle of Junius Seven with Yzak, Athrun, and Dearka. It didn't last long but they basically showcased that when they have their heads in the game they could easily keep up with new model Gundams inside of Zakus.

Technology had caught up, most used beam weapons so phase shift was less effective. Gundams simply had more versatility by that point. That could be made up for with skill and they were elites. Kira with freedom was simply an exception. Loved how the Chaos was destroyed by normal soldiers. Lol

Also, SEED FREEDOM didn't just dethrone Encounters In Space for its total revenue, it also knocked down Demon Slayer from the weekend box office. DS was on its 2nd week, GSF its 3rd week.

Yeah, the new Demon Slayer "movie" is not really a movie. It's just a scam-y move by Ufotable. They basically just slapped together episodes from last season & next season of Demon Slayer and call it a movie. It's too bad that Demon Slayer "movie" still raked in 1+ Billion yen & counting while other (better) movies couldn't even reach a Billion.
