Ahh, to see my two favorite characters in the series, Kohta Hirano and Saeko Busujima in this episode, it definitely makes up for any other wrongdoing they may do in the rest of the episodes. Highly enjoyable as usual.

Was a good episode, and enjoyed seeing the introductions of the new characters. Also I guess the director wasn't kidding when he said he was going to have some fun with this, the entire Nurse character seems to be under that effect.

Honestly can't wait to see Hirano's development, he seems to be the one that will have the most combat knowledge which as shown should prove to bring about some fun scenes with him.

Random thought, Rei was picked apart last week for breaking down on Takasi, but in an almost same mental disarray by Saya garners almost no negative comments.

Looking at Kohta, they could just arm him with nothing but hot ladies and Demon Condoms. Actually, this is what I suspect. As he stands tall, we'll get a giant robot transformation jingle, as we watch Kohta thrust his way through to freedom!

Of course it be all part of a government message to remind all the young folks out there to basically remember to use condoms. Or else you could turn into undead mindless zombies!

I can stand fanservice, as much as I find it unnecessary in this anime, but that scene where the doctor acted so stupidly and airheaded PLUS retarded sound effects to her body's movement was probably 1000 times more annoying than any character in this anime, even more than that guy who appeared in the preview.

Given the source material, what did you expect? So far it's been pretty much a 1:1 adaptation of the manga. The director didn't really add anything that wasn't already there in the first place. Boin boin-sensei included.

Anyway, I was mostly looking forward to Hirano's awesomeness -seeing Hirano going from weak-kneed nerd to crazed gunman is one of my favorite bits of this franchise- and it was... kind of a letdown. The contrast between weak-kneed nerd and crazed gunman feels much sharper in the manga, which I think is because of the voice. While the artwork still shows a sharp contrast, the voice just doesn't carry that contrast along. A bit of a bigger contrast in voice would have increased the impact, in my opinion.

It sounds like a few of you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing just what Noboyuki Hiyama (the voice actor for Hirano) can do, because believe me he's more then fit for the role.

I found that he did an excellent job already in this episode.

This impressed me more than last week for some reason. Anyway we now got the band together so fun times are ahead. That boing sound is so ridiculous though. I do love the way they animated Saeko though. Overall a pretty solid continuation.

That's certainly encouraging. No guarantee that we'll actually get a badass Hirano voice, but definitely encouraging.
