It goes without saying that Ren is more of the same Chuunibyou. That's good or bad depending. There's really not much to say here, but I'm forecasting that unless they inject something new into the mix people will start reporting boredom by the time the season ends. Also, I'm extremely disappointed by both the opening and the ending of Ren. The animation is fine, and I'm pleased by that, but the songs are dreadfully flat and dull. The previous season's songs had lots of character and dynamic changes, and this season has virtually none of those things. Between the two of them, I'd say the opening is the only one even close to palatable and that's really quite generous. I said this elsewhere when they were leaked, and my opinion is unchanged.

Can't say much about the new season, but I'm enjoying the start especially because of Kuzuha's return. Yay Funny to see that Shinka and Yuuta, much to their effort to brush away their past, also play along with the imaginary battle against Touka.
And lol at the depiction of Jakarta XD it's very accurate: the cars, the traffic jam, the rain, and there's even a bajaj three-wheeler! Togashi family must be rich, judging from the sedan on which Yumeha and her Mom is riding. Also, I personally feel there's a slight change in the overall atmosphere of the series.. I don't know, maybe it's from the BGMs? I felt that it's kinda different from the previous season.

I was seriously skeptical of why this gets a second season. Especially when season one ended SOOOOOO perfectly!
It was okay though. Deko trolling the SHIT out of Nibutani will get old

Fun, amusing, and solid start to Chuuni Season 2.
I can see where Fred is coming from on the physically abusive chops/bops to the head, but this show spreads the slapstick comedy around enough that I just consider it lighthearted comedy not to be taken seriously. It helps that the show doesn't have just one designated buttmonkey, and spreads the slapstick comedy violence around to several different characters, so it feels more "equal opportunity" (and hence less cruel) I guess you could say. While a lot of things have stayed the same, I'm glad that Yuuta has become much more comfortable with his Chuuni side. So far, the show is interesting in that it addresses typical SoL-esque everyday concerns (people moving around, needing places to stay, romances gradually developing, etc...), but will filter it through a Chuuni prism to make it much more colorful and entertaining. In other words, Yuua and Rikka will deal with everyday problems but in their distinct, quirky way. It almost gives the show a Seinfeld-ian quality. Anyway, good first episode, and I'm looking forward to the new girl. Shinka with dark hair might take some getting used to though.

The Chuuni action scenes are just there for flashy spectacle, and to KyoAni's credit, they definitely deliver when it comes to that. They make good eye candy.

The trajectory of the shot also made it look like a straight beeline to Dekomori's forehead. With how low Nibutani held that rubberband, there's no way it could have flown that way and still hit.
Since Dekomori is on higher ground and behind a podium, the most a low shot like that could do his either hit the edge of the podium, or shoot over her head. Even assuming that Nibutani did put enough power into it, the shot would need to have an arching trajectory to hit. But it's not like anyone cares anyway |

First ep of sesond season was fine
Starts off nicely with Rikka and Yuuta living in the same appartment. C'mon, dude, you could've really used that! Then we have them all acting serious, but it doesn't last long, and we all have them back to their usual antics, showing us some... ahem... cheesy behavior As they're back to their true selfs, I hope Shinka will drop that awful longer skirt next ep The "priestess" with her soup ladle is just as ridiculously overpowered as before No objection to her going to overseas, I always thought her overpoweredness was massively exaggerated. Wasn't the movie just a recollection of the first season? Quote:

It's more than that. The "summary" was a cover up. You could say there are "surprises" in the movie. The surprise was already explained in the introduction part of this episode so yes you were just been spoiled without even realizing it.
