First spoiler of the year is out, baby:

La Brava reveals that back during her shut-in days, she would regularly hack into the servers of Feel Good Inc. (Skeptic's company) for fun. Skeptic actually remembers her, and is as freaked out by her skills now as he was back then. He then decides to escape, turning his two most important computers into humanoid robots.

Still, despite regaining control of UA's servers, the school is still plummeting towards the ground! La Brava says that the school received too much damage from the battle, and she wouldn't be able to help fix the system on time. Tsukauchi personally dislikes the idea of working alongside villains, but feels some of them have hope of redemption, such as Aoyama. Deku is reminded of what Shigaraki told him during the previous war, that a lack of understanding between heroes and villains are why they're often in conflict with each other. Mandalay warns everyone that the school is about to crash, when suddenly, a lone figure appears, hopping across the ocean..... GENTLE!!!!

And that's not all, as several heroes manage to capture Skeptic as he makes his escape! Back to Gentle, we see a flashback of a prison that was attacked by the Tartarus escapees. The former villain thinks of his own past mistakes and the confidence Deku gave him, and uses his quirk to prevent the prisoners from escaping! When the police ask what he wants in return for his help, he simply requests to see La Brava again, as their time apart has only made his love for her stronger. Back in the present, Gentle uses GENTLY SUPER LOVER to break UA's fall! Deku recognizes Gentle's power at work, but is warned by the vestiges that ShigAFO is on the move again! As the villain gets ready to launch another attack, a bullet comes out of nowhere, striking his hand! As it turns out, Gentle isn't the only former villain lending his aid in this battle, as some distance away, we can see..... LADY NAGANT!!!!!

Gentle's return was absolutely awe-inspiring and epic

La Brava fucking with Skeptic by flooding his server with dancing cats - in the past ("THAT WAS YOU?!") AND the present - was genuinely hilarious (as was him over-the-top freaking out at the cats)

And I honestly thought Lady Nagant was dead, so her popping up caught me by even more surprise than Gentle & Brava did

In this week's chapter:

We start with a brief flashback at the central hospital (the same one Kurogiri was held in and was under attack by the mutant army). Nagant drags herself out of bed against the doctor's orders, saying she needs to join the battle. At that moment, Rock Lock appears and tells her she's been granted permission to join, and hands her a device containing all of the info on the villains. Back in the present, she says she wants to return the favor to Deku and Hawks for helping her recall her purpose in life, and fires another shot at ShigAFO, blasting away his other arm!

Within the villain's vestige world, AFO is enraged by Nagant's return, but a more pressing issue rears its head: Shigaraki has broken free of AFO's control! He mocks his master, telling him his plans to use others has failed, and that Shigaraki was able to resist his control by concealing his "origin" deep within his heart. AFO panics and tries to order Kurogiri to warp them to his original body, but the misty one is going through his own identity crisis.... his orders to protect Shigaraki are conflicting with his original personality as Shirakumo!

Shigaraki says he no longer needs AFO, and that his heart will never yield to outside influences! As he sees it, the world as it is now originated from that house he was born in, so his and Shimura Tenko's desires are one and the same: To destroy everything connected to that house! As he regains full control of his body, Deku drags him out of UA, saying it's useless to keep him contained there now that he can use quirks again. He also won't let the villain have his way, though he also won't ignore that part of him that cried out for help. The next round is about to begin....!!!!

Welp, here we go again, guys.... NO CHAPTER THIS WEEK. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if maybe Hori's bosses should set him up with scheduled breaks like Oda has for OP, because the constant sudden breaks are rather concerning.....

I already voiced my concern a while back. He most definitely has issues, there have been way too many breaks this past year. Would be a shame if it turns into another Bleach. While I'm not a fan of this final arc, I still want him to end the series on his own terms.

We're back on track, after two weeks:

Gentle is still holding on to UA with his quirk, but he's approaching his limit! La Brava tells him to endure it for a little longer, as she almost finished writing the new security program. Though he's glad he's doing the right thing, Gentle does regret that his actions aren't being documented, like in the old days.... until he notices that some of the UA students (from the business course) ARE recording him! Though he tells the kids to stay out of harm's way, they reply that they're partially to blame for society losing their faith in heroes, since they neglected to make a better public image of them.... so they feel it's their responsibility to record this moment in history! La Brava, who hacked their phones, agrees with their speech. In fact, she already began live streaming their videos! Not only that, but she completed the repairs to the school, enabling it to go afloat again!

However, not everything is well, as the Twice clones are still on the loose. What's more, Aizawa was knocked off the school grounds, along with Present Mic! They both end up falling into one of Kurogiri's portals. Despite their teachers vanishing, the students can only hope for the best at this point, and some of them are now recording Deku's battle with Shigaraki....

Meanwhile, at Gunga, AFO's original body is on the move! It seems he's aware of Shigaraki's rebellion against him, but isn't worried. All he needs to do is to have Tomura absorb his original body's quirk factor, and the master villain will have complete control over him! Hawks swoops in once again to take him on, but AFO easily sees his attack coming.... and lands a devastating counter that rips the hero's body apart. Tokoyami is in complete shock at seeing his mentor get killed.... until Hawks suddenly turns into a prettier version himself (Tokoyami's reaction here is priceless ). As it turns out, what AFO destroyed was an illusion created by.... Camie! And she's not the only Shiketsu student to appear, as Inasa and Shishikura (that dude with the meat chunk quirk) join the battle, as well.....!!!!

The business course is partially to blame for not doing better PR? Bitch please, society LOVED heroes before Shigaraki came along. Too much, I'd say, to the point that any fault was catastrophic. No PR could've spun that collapse, especially after All Might retired and freaking Endeavor of all people took his place. What nonsense is the author trying to push here?

Hori is just trying to give every side character their moment in the spotlight as a rebuttal tot AFO's philosophy. It doesn't make sense here , but he included a business course in the story so I guess he had to do something with them.

The latest episode of the anime made me realize there was a hint about the 2nd's Quirk way back then: the 2nd said they were going to "accelerate".

As for the latest chapter, Tokoyami's reaction to the illusion was priceless. Who cares about those guys though? I want foreign heroes to intervene, but that seems less and less likely.

I suspect the most we'll get from international heroes at this point is either coming in after the battle to help with clean up or to help with reconstruction.
