ED kinda sucked hard, too much wasted frames on the clouds. Still showing shirou and rin made sense since its rin and archer from first season's ED

Still, it had a minor pacing issue near the middle, but loved it.

Well, I still think the pacing is like molasses, and this episode certainly didn't change that, but I'm looking forward to whatever plot gymnastics will occur in order for two masters without servants to continue this war (and, presumably, come out the victors when it's all said and done).

Also, it's sometimes easy to forget that the Fate game is an erotic visual novel, as they've kept that aspect largely absent from the anime, but having Saber with her dress scrunched up in that pose certainly served as a jarring reminder of how well the story and dialog can handle itself without the need for the eroge elements.

If you didn't know Archer's real identity at this point then you may need hearing aids and glasses. Since they slapped that fact in our face so many times in season 1 it wasn't funny.

RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPEMENT! WOOOTT!! Hallelujah! I was so sick of how they pussyfooted around with relationships in the original FSN.

The animation is beautiful.

And the ending song is sung by Kalafina. Those girls have such beautiful voices they could sing the phonebook to me and I'd love it.

I don't know from where should I start

from the first scene, I was already stunned by the art.. how long I have missed this beautiful art
The opening song is not on par with ideal white... but the animation is still beautiful and stunning

now we moved to a raid plan from Rin
Archer is an awesome bastard here.. while Shirou showed that he is ready to take "main protagonist" title.. He is basically flawless.. protecting Tohsaka from Kuzuki, projecting like a boss, and comforting Tohsaka like a real man

Tohsaka's crying face caught me off guard... and that intimate talking scene is very deep
Seems like both of them are ready to move forward

anyway, I don't play the VN but I don't think that confession scene is showed up at that point at VN
if it is anime original, then I clapped my hands
It is time to show relationship development in Fate series...
Rin is love... Rin is life

The ending.... as Kalafina's fans.. I approved it! Perfect!

From what I remember that did happen in the VN. That scene in the game was adorable and heartwarming. Shirou did confess to admiring Rin and he did it in a nonchalant way that it took Rin off guard. Cue Moe Rin reaction.

Honestly, when I saw Rin's crying face, my heart died. It always kills me when a powerful character breaks down to a point of crying (Example -- Korra)

Let's talk about how amazingly Ufotable depicts Shirou. I must admit, I wasn't a very big fan of him in the VN and I thought Deen's version was atrocity beyond atrocity but Ufotable singlehandedly made me love this character so much more. His broken state, his selflessness, his feelings and ideals are so well presented that I am way more invested in him than I ever was.

The only real nitpick I have is the fact that Rin, a 1st rate mage, needed to be saved by Shirou. It almost felt like she was a damsel in distress. It was like that in the VN as well so there's nothing much to do. Though, I admit, Rin definitely was off her game because of Archer's betrayal.

I was prepared for some hell amount of awkwardness but it was pretty fast and they got over it quickly. I'm not Feminazi but it's still really awkward to watch stuff like that. I admit that it does serve a purpose to show us just how cruel our Princess Medea really is.

Next episode title is dedicated to her so I'm hoping we'll get to see scenes of the myth itself.

Well, it's not like the visual novel was brimming with sexual content to begin with outside of the H-scenes. And the UBW route only has like one, so.

It also amuses me that that joke is in Ataraxia. Saber is wary around Caster because Medea likes to dress her up lol I never understood why Caster decided to dress up Saber in that wedding dress the first time I played the game.
