In the chapter there isnt anything that makes me want to call her a slut, we only get to know the old boyfriend, but oh well

i hope that the manga continues, and if the author is really sick i wish her the best and a fast recovery

The last picture does seem to imply that she's turned "evil" due to the impurities... and let's just say that her clothing was less than decent. Most people are capable of connecting the dots, thank you.

Alas, it looks like Jin can only play the role of the bystander in this scenario. Zange seems to be the best position to do something about this...

Actually I believe it is very likely that she got threats. Not necessarily "I will kill you" like Anno got (and he got a LOT of those to tell the truth) but personal insults or just inflicting some fear in general.

The weaker authors cannot deal with that. Popularity has its own costs and not all can deal with that. She does seem rather new in this business so the possibility of her not being able to cope with situation is rather high. Even experienced ones can break, so what to talk about still rather newcomers to the scene.

This whole business might put some tension on her and she right now is taking a break. There are bit too many coincidences to consider it just a simple illness.

You do realize the people who are seriously complaining about this are in the minority don't you? Or do you say "most people" so it makes you feel better?

Um, crap..... not even sure what the hell “At the current time she can’t even move her body” means in terms of the sort of illness she's dealing with. It could be anything from she feels lousy (flu, migraines, etc) to some life-changing nasty cancer or MS thing...

Eri Takenashi Recovers From Surgery, Kannagi to Resume

Regarding the hiatus of “Kannagi”:

We are aware that we have caused the readers of “Kannagi” a great deal of concern through the matter of its suspension.

Takenashi was abruptly struck down by a sudden illness shortly after the manuscript for the December issue of ComicREX was completed, and after this she was immediately hospitalised due to her critical condition; as a result, publication of Kannagi was suspended.

After this, she underwent surgery, which proved successful, and now her condition is favourable and she is moving towards a period of convalescence.

After the publication of the January edition of ComicREX, there were some reports to the effect that “Takenashi has ceased publication due to the calumnies she was subjected to”, but this is not the case.

Takenashi is currently hospitalised, but even so she has expressed a desire to move towards resuming her writing.

We hope that readers will be kind enough to wait whilst she convalesces.
