Maybe not joining, but if he had to rely on her in order to survive in an utterly hopeless situation(like this one), he might do so. Or she might just decide to capture him and torture him.

It would require two things, Esdese's feelings for Tatsumi overruling her reasoning, and Tatsumi being willing to stay with her in order to survive.
