The high school student Saito, who was "summoned" into the alternate world Halkeginia as a familiar, together with his master Louise, has rescued Tabitha safely from her captivity in Galia. The group then took a moment's rest in the neighbouring country Germania. Louise began feeling confident about the fact that Saito likes her, and the "somewhat sweet atmosphere, but still can't get honest with each other" situation continued between the two. Amidst all this, Louise sends a letter of apology to Henrietta, and eventually receives a reply. Louise is ordered to return to her homeland of La Valliere, which, for some reason, frightens her greatly. Not knowing the cause, Saito remains optimistic. However, what lies in wait for them is......!?
The highly acclaimed alternate world familiar fantasy, finally at the long awaited volume 11!

By the way, the subtitle (追憶の二重奏) means "Duet of Reminiscence".

I wish I could still help out. I still feel bad for leaving. After all, I did sort of round everyone together...

But looking at my school and work schedule, it would be silly to even try anything beyond what I already have on my plate now.

I read all of the available summaries on this forum and AQS forums and while some of the volume 10 stuff was revealed, did anyone ever mention as to why Tabitha was being held in Galia? Did I happen to miss something that was mentioned on the forums?

Not bad for what's happening right now...it's kind of sad that they deviated from the "Items from Saito's world" theme though, because I actually find the culture clash far more interesting than the harem.

Oh well...I don't have much free time left, either. I have till about August to get as much translated as possible. After that, college is going to kill me.

thank you,sushi-y,but i tough we already know how vindalfr is:that guy,a beautiful priest-can't remember his name-,that louise used to make saito jealous(he was "unusually good with dragon" and can fly with one even tough he's a commoner,maybe controling him with his flute).In your summary of vol.7,it seemed than louise herself found him suspisious-when he tried to talk to her at night about her ring if i remember correctly.

Okay I have been reading your summarys on the other forum and I have to say that you are a professional when it comes to translating light novels. Aside from that I have a few questions.

1. Where did it say King Josef (he was the guy who stole the throne from Tabitha right?) was a void user?

2. Where did it say that Sheffield was Josef's familiar?

3. Do elves truly have a magical attribute like humans and if so where was it mentioned that Tiffania had the attribute?

4. Could you explain to me the part on how there are supposed to be four void users with four human familiars?

If anyone answers any of these questions, thank you!

Yes, it's very possible that Julio is the Vindalfr, although there has been no explicit proof yet. The fact that he can communicate with dragons, his secretive relationship to King Josef, his gloved right hand, and his interest in Louise's ruby all points to him being "the familiar who can control any beast".

1. Sheffield (Josef's secretary, also the mastermind behind the Reconquista, while Cromwell was only her puppet) is the Mioznitnirn, and she has the rune on her forehead to prove it. It was explicitly stated in vol.8 that her master is Josef, and that he is one of the 4 void users. Josef currently possesses the Earth Ruby, the Founder's music box, and the Founder's incense urn. The Earth Ruby shines when worn by Josef, which proves him to be a void user.

Josef is currently after Tristan for their 2 ruby rings (Wind and Water), as well as the Founder's prayer book (which Louise has). The ultimate goal is to gather all 4 Founder's artifacts, rings, as well as void users, for the second coming of Brimir (I think, I'm forgetting the details ^^; ) and retake the holy land from the elves.

3. Elves, besides their signature pointed ears and slender body, have the ability to use an extremely powerful system of magic called "native magic" (先住魔法), an ancient class of spell used by the inhabitants of Halkeginia before the arrival of Founder Brimir. Unlike the 4 elemental system of magic, which draws its power from the spellcaster to bend the rules of nature, the native magic draws power from nature itself to manipulate the environment. It is vastly stronger than the 4 elemental magics, and is one of the reasons why humans fear elves so much.

Other mystical races may have access to the powerful system as well, such as Sylphid (Tabitha's dragon), who can use the magic to change her appearance into that of a human.

Tiffania cannot use any magics herself, due to her life of living in relative isolation:

Born between the younger brother of Albion's King (Treasury Minister of Albion) and his elven mistress (which actually makes her Prince Wale's cousin), Tiffania was kept hidden from the public eyes, along with her mother. However, when Tiffania was 4, the Albion King found out about his brother's elven mistress and child, and tossed him in jail. Then he sent soldiers to his brother's house to kill Tiffania and her mother. Tiffania's mother hid her in the closet and gave up her life without a fight. When the soldiers found Tiffania, she chanted a melody she once heard from a music box (the Founder's music box) while wearing the Wind Ruby, which happens to be a void spell for "amnesia" that makes those who hear it forget about what they're doing. Tiffania then escaped from her persuers and arrived at the tiny forest village, where orphans are taken in and cared for.

Since then, Tiffania has been able to live her life in secrecy with the help of the "amnesia" spell.

Saito and the rest of the gang knows that Tiffania is a void user, but at the end of vol.8, they decided to respect Tiffania's wish to remain at the village so she can continue to care for the orphans, and returned to Tristan without her.

4. It came from an old lullaby that Tiffania sung to Saito (which I translated, I think, in the end of vol.7's summary). Josef also discussed it in detail with Julio in vol.8.

I'm still kind of disappointed that the anime doesn't follow the novel and makes everything so lighthearted. They should've made the anime follow the novel.

After reading your post, all I can say is that Saito has certainly attracted the attention of several members of royal families who are now (and may appear) in his harem. Talk about the biggest scandel that world has ever known. All he needs to do now is meet a female member of each of the royal families of Germania and Romalia and we have ourselves World Wa... uh, I mean "The Great War." Aside from that, he is probably the luckiest guy who ever lived, if the pressure of having so many women around him doesn't kill him first.

Well as you know the whole team went against Hnerietta's orders to save Tabitha, Saito and Louise lost their noble tittles. Well and during their saving mission they pretended to be a travelling troupe where all the girls dressed up in a pretty sexy dresses (except Louise at first who, had to pretend to be a maid) and guys did other things. Well after the mission Saito wanted to kiss Louise but she stopped him and seeing him wanting it bedly began tempting him to beg for the kisss, while using her sexy clothes. Like leaning against the wall, lifting the tiny piece iof cloth that should be her skirt, showing her leg and whats beneath and so on. Needless to say that Saito started begging for it. And just as things were getting more interesting Guiche and Monmtmorency woke up and red-faced (hey they are innocent, not like perverted Louise or Saito) watched the spectacle before their eyes. louise tried to cover it all as an excuse for practise for a play but noone believed her. I am guessing that she might be start using her newfound sexuality and confidence on Saito again.
