I suppose the idea is to keep the universe and the main character, but renew the cast to avoid boredom.

MGLN authors love to torture little girls (e.g. Fate in season 1), but don't like to kill them.

Any screencap of decent quality with that?

The Mie TV raw is too blurry to clearly see the number, we will have to wait for a better raw or for next week episode

But I think it's possible to see the "X" and the first "I" on this screencap.

It could be XIV as well, hard to see exactly.

Why would it be a FOURTEEN when there was only 12 Numbers prior to Ginga being turned into a Number?

Since there were twelve Numbers before they captured Ginga, it's highly possible for her number to be XIII...

Urgh, no matter how I look at it, Ginga's number looks like a "II". I doubt it's XIII unless that image is really that garbled, but it looks like 2 Roman numerals to me instead of 4.

This brings a thought to mind though. What if Due really is a shape-shifter (as some of our friends here have suggested), and this Ginga is really her taking Gin-nee's form (and if her abilities allow, maybe skills as well)?

I really need flsnow's HQ subs now.

You definitely should have your eyes checked.
There are at least three Roman numerals: a "I" in the middle, one on the left ("X" I think), one or more on the right. That definitely can't make "II".

Hey, now I've got it!
Eight years ago, Nanoha was badly hurt and... didn't survive. Duo secretly took her place, and has been acting as Nanoha all this time.

Because XIII is taken already And as there're Ivory spies in OC thread they surely know about it

That'd be fun. But I thought you didn't want to see any major characters dead

Or perhaps they're saving that spot for Subaru.

After all the doctor spotted her before he could possibly know about Ginga.

I don't want any character to die, major or not.

But it's different if a character is already dead (e.g. Chrono's father or Tiana's brother).

Lol, what a twist!

Anyway someone earlier called out that Ginga would be turned into a number and was right. I salute you for making a good call . Hmm now lets wait and see if Ginga get destroyed or saved before it's too late.

So off-screen deaths are alright? Why is it different? All people are equal. The characters you named were killed by the scenarists for the sake of the plot, following your previous logic wouldn't it be nicer for their families if they stayed alive?

I've never known my great-grandfather. So I don't care for his death, I don't weep for him.
OTOH, if my father died now, that would be an entirely different story.

Chrono's father has been dead for a long time. As far as the viewer is concerned, he's never really been alive. I've never known him, so I can't really care for him. His death is not really an event, it's a state: Chrono's a fatherless guy, and has always been so, since the beginning of the series.
OTOH, if Lindy was to die now, that would be an event, a change of state ; and I would be kinda saddened, because I know her, and care for her. And that would be quite a shock for Chrono too.

Oh well, I see. As it's not exactly on the thread's topic anymore I'll be satisfied with that.

To those worried about the Knights' mortality, you can relax. It sounds like they'll last as long as a regular human. And they're rather glad to be able to live and die as people instead of spending an eternity as unchanging programs. If they last until Hayate peacefully passes away, they will consider it a life well spent.
Accous recognises Scag's ship as the Cradle of the Saints. Scaglietti says it destroyed the ancient world (one of them anyway) I am so disappointed, what kind of warlord considers "Cradle" to be a suitable name for a super warship?

Well, I double-checked the image and the flsnow sub I mentioned, and.... you guys are right. It's XIII. Shucks, there goes my "Due-in-disguise" theory.

Well, looks like I really need to change my spectacles :P.

I wondered if they can heal themselves in the case of very severe damage by returning to the Tome and rebuilding themselves in it.

But then again, IIRC, after the last battle in A's, they were permanently separated from it, no?

Someone with a strange/twisted sense of humor perhaps. Imagine losting everything you hold precious to a Cradle. It's like a very bad joke, even a cruel one.
