I have just acquired a supposedly non-functioning
HP Pavilion dv6110 from a friend and managed to resurrect it. I installed Windows 7 Professional on it, named her Luna, and she is now the third notebook in my possession.

Another solution is running this command in the Terminal. However, this requires that the developer tools to be installed: sudo SetFile -a v /Volumes/BOOTCAMP

Note: Not everyone lives in the same timezone, so sometimes it can seem as if that person is up till 5 AM in the morning where you live, while he / she is just up till 11 where he / she lives
But I guess this wasn't the case.

Nope. It's a program called Launchy, and it's a 'keystroke launcher'. Basically, you type in the start of the file, application or path and you hit enter to launch it. It means I don't have any need for icons and I can set the taskbar to hide.
Thanks aswell |
