This was one of my favorite episodes entirely because of Miusel's delighted reactions in Japan. Now that's moe. Terrific work by Mimori Suzuko (and the animators and scriptwriters).
I'm not saying there is anything high class about this. A cute girl is devoted to the audience's alter ego (the MC) and sweetly expresses delight in the audience's country and the things they themselves enjoy. Bingo!

man Miusel is the reason for me be so hard to handly with harem specially when we have harem with girls like her, omg she is too much perfect to be just "one more of the girls" she genuinely does not deserve be in a harem omg, the things goes even worst when i look to the annoying loli queen she is too much childsh for the to take serious as a lover and the fact who she still with some little "bitch" trails(who thanks god start to vanish, racism and threatning peoples bad based on social levels is really horrible)
man this dream was... looks like this will be the "first harem" where the mc is fine with having a "BL" affair too lol, the guy already also appear in his dream. now i'm thing something like that is happen in the other harem romance anime(ore) where our mc is having dreams with "natsuhiko and banana" lol, looks like BL start to become popular in shounen too :P . |

This episode was hilarious. I think it is my favorite episode yet. It was just so funny from beginning to end, and Miusel was just too perfect.
I like the beginning part as well. They were using all fake names for the anime until they brought Minami-ke. I was surprised that they actually used another anime's name. Then they mentioned how bad the director of Minami-ke Okaeri was. So I had to check it out, and it turns out that Oikawa Kei is director for both Minami-ke OKaeri and Outbreak Company. I guess he had fun making fun of himself, or maybe the staff did. This series has definitely been one of the best series of this season. They even had Garius wear only an apron in Shinichi's dream. That was so hilarious. Even Petrarca was not bitchy this episode and seem to take things in stride at the end. This really was a very good episode.

In addition to the mentions of the same director's Minami-ke Okaeri, there were also a couple of images of Mimorin's character from Milky Holmes.
This show is not hugely popular on 2channel (lower middle of the pack), but there were a lot of positive comments about this episode, and about Myusel in particular. One post said that this ep was a travelogue for foreign otaku. I thought of it as full of self-congratulation for Japanese otaku, lol. Posts there said that ep7 was anime original. One poster said that it that was so, all new episodes should be original. I myself was disappointed in ep6, but had my interest rekindled by ep7. EDIT: If you're interested, here is a fuller list showing the popularity of current shows on 2channel.

Well the promotion of Mimori Suzuko in this episode is pretty blatant, besides the obvious character references (way too many Milky Holmes/Sherlock to count, besides the YuriYuru and others) the seiyuu promoting her disk in the store is actually referencing Mimori Suzuko as well, as you can see the cover of the disk the seiyuu is promoting is exactly the same as her recently released image BD.
But I think this is one of the rare occasion where the 2D version is much inferior to the 3D version.

The reference is obvious, but in Outbreak's work. Its Manami-ke, not Minami-ke lol. All the animes mentioned so far is obviously hinting at actual real anime, only replacing a syllable.

Had a hunch it would be on niocnico too, but even Bandai Channel? Shame, that it's not doing so well in sales then.

Anyway, Miusel is so cute in that outfit Wonder what will Petrarca do next episode, since she knew that he went back to Japan without informing her.

Episode 7:
Although a great episode, I was hoping to see a bit more of Miusel spending time in Japan. I wish I could say I enjoyed it, but I couldn't. The episode itself it not to blame, it's me being so nervous during the 2nd half of it that caused my ability to enjoy it to dwindle. I couldn't stop thinking: Something bad is going to happen to Miusel... Something bad is going to happen to Miusel... Something bad is going to happen to Miusel... This feeling was extremely apparent when Shinichi went to buy some underwear. I thought some government dudes would show up and "kidnap" our cute half elf girl and force her to go back to her world. But that didn't happen, whew! Then suddenly Shinichi is suddenly back in the other world, I thought "OMG where is Miusel!? What did they do to her!? Oh... she's serving omurice." Damn I need to calm down.

I actually burst in laughter when I saw the eyecatch where a grunt soldier's profile shows that he likes "Bandam AGE" LOL. I guess one (or more) of the anime staffs really digs Gundam AGE even though it's reviled everywhere and considered as one of Sunrise's biggest failures. Or maybe it's the opposite, where the staff actually hates it too and dump it as a grunt's favorite to insult it further .
And for the maid cafe antics, for some reason I find it cringe-worthy especially during the "ome-rice spell-casting" part. I can't help but picture it in my mind how embarassing-looking it is when done by IRL maid in IRL maid-cafe .
