Came back from the Tokyo Anime Fair. Good to know NeoSam's covering the newly announced shows (still left: Sky Girls TV anime has been confirmed, and the new Noitamina anime will be Mononoke).

I attended several press conferences, and it is confirmed that Seirei no Moribito -Guardian of the Sacred Spirit- has been pre-licensed by Geneon USA for the North American market and by MUSE for the Taiwan and Hong Kong market (interviews by the respective representatives were shown).

Haha, Kadokawa is pushing Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! as Venus to MAMORU!

I don't know what I should make out of this. Is he simply being shown because Ayakashi has been in the Noitamina slot (which seems unlikely, but I don't want to get all excited for nothing), or are we getting a longer story involving him? That would be very interesting. Too bad I can't read anything on that page, I hope it gives more details.

Zombie Loan sounds interesting
Plot Summary: When a human is marked to die, a faint gray line that is invisible to most appears around their neck. As time passes, that ring becomes darker and darker, until it is eventually black, and that person dies. Kita Michiru has an unusual gift, she posses "Shinigami eyes," which allow her to see these rings. When Michiru notices that two of the boys in her Class, Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito not only have rings, but that they're jet black, they reveal to her that the were supposed to die in a tragic accident six months ago. With the help of the Zombie Loan loan office, they were given a second chance at life, should they be able to pay for their debt by doing the work of Shinigami and killing malicious zombies. They petition Michiru to assist them in their efforts, and she finds her everyday life changing dramatically.

Anime production company Madhouse and Japanese cable network WOWOW announced that they are creating a TV anime based on Yamaguchi Takayuki's historical manga Shigurui at a press conference at the Tokyo International Anime Fair on Thursday.

The manga, which currently appears in the manga magazine "Monthly Champion RED", is a samurai drama with a significant number of violent scenes, which some observers say will make the series difficult to animate. The anime will be directed by Hamasaki Hiroshi, who also worked on the 2001 Vampire Hunter D project. In the presentation at TAF, Hamasaki talked about his initial exposure to the manga. "When I was introduced to [the manga] at Madhouse, I knew it was a fantastic work the moment I saw it. However, I also realized that it's a tricky one" said the director, who was joined at the panel by original manga author Yamaguchi Takayuki.

Yamaguchi expressed his support for the project at the panel, saying that the director "understands" the nature of the work. WOWOW is hoping that the cutting edge feel to the series will carry over to the anime, and has expressed that they will work on scheduling the program at a time appropriate to its content.
