I would take ''almost no deaths'' over ''only bad guy die'' any day. Besides, Fairy Tail is made in such a way that absence of deaths (except some people that died in the past/offscreen and Simon) and blood is forgivable. Well, for me anyway.

So it's amnesia....Damn it why can we get no answers! I'm still trying to figure out the whole Jellal/Mystogan thing. Is there going to be some magical cloning involved here? You'd think from the flashback with Wendy it was Mystogan, but calling himself Jellal is an issue. Since during the last arc Mystogan outright said he wasn't Jellal. The whole anima thing definitely is a foreshadowing point to remember.

Still did feel for Erza and even Jellal during the episode. We know his head was screwed up by Ultear helping him do the crazy things that he did. Losing his memories and feeling the pain from what he did. Even not remembering much he still went out there to stop Nirvana and destroy it. That's a pretty solid thing to do. Though he definitely is taking on some of Erza's bad qualities with trying to kill himself. Hopefully Erza can get in there to stop him before it's too late.

Feel bad for the Blue Pegasus guys. Other than Hibiki were just there to get owned and make clear how tough Midnight is .

Didn't expect Angel to get up. The girl is tougher than I would have expected. Of course too bad for her that her spirits love Lucy . Although makes you wonder why it was willing to shoot during Lucy's attack, but not after. Still with that it seems likely that most of Angel's spirits will willingly join up with Lucy later on which is good news since she could definitely use more.

Lucy does end up blushing quite a bit . But to be fair the boyfriend thing is constantly brought up by Aquarius and while she tries to focus on work can't completely ignore romance. Will just be something that happens plenty of times during the series.

Damn straight, the man overstept his role . Well could argue about Gray's feelings towards Erza, but can be hidden with Fairy Tail comrade feelings. Plus he's a main character which gives him thicker plot shielding than Simon.

I'll agree it was pretty cheesy, though i was totally attached to that scene, thanks to perfect music placement and touching dialogue.

The first Erza/Jellal scene with him finding out what he's done in the past was fantastic. So glad they used 'Reminiscence ~Sad Soul~', which was used a lot during said arc. Jellal's tears were so heavy to watch. Fantastic job there Namikawa Daisuke.

Don't mind Angel being alive but how could she get up from Lucy's attack, but unlucky for her her spirits won't attack Lucy, maybe they want a contract with Lucy instead. Brain's death sensors are messed up, but that was funny.

Midnight shows his dominance again, so 2-0 wonder who he'll fight next.

So Wendy wasn't really saved, but i guess found, i would have said he's Mystogan but why would he call himself Jellal, before he told Erza that he wasn't Jellal and didn't know him either, i guess that will be brought up later, but if it was Jellal how is he nice and why traveling the country. When he yelled "anima" that was a tip off for later i'm guessing, but definitely the reason why he left Wendy. Also why did he tell her not to ask where he got the food from? Is he trying to hide something?

So Erza finally caught up to Jellal, figures she would be the first to find him. SO he lost all his memories except for Erza's name. Only remembers Nirvana and his magic. I like how she reacted saying that she would put a sword through, i'm glad she didn't break down. So he released Nirvana to destroy it, i guess that's alright. So he remembers a bit about Erza too because he's going to sacrifice himself off to free Erza. So it looked like Erza broke it will try to save him. Hopefully she does because i want him to regain his memories and clear up the whole Mystogan issue.

So Virgo went through the door by herself and saved Lucy and Natsu, nice clothes by the way, also brought back Happy's trick. Sherry catches up to them but luckily Gray is freed and stops her. Lyon appears and Sherry's losses her darkness from Nirvana. Glad he's alive because i don't think SHerry would have listened to anybody else.

Next ep looks like Jellal's spell doesn't destroy Nirvana

As I've been saying since episode 58 I was waiting on the Lucy X Natsu moments and they really didn't disappoint.
Lucy was just adorable when she blushed<3

Because I got what I wanted the rest of the ep kinda fell into a "yea ok cool....I want moar Lucy X Natsu!" safe to say it got me on a high

The Erza/Jellal scenes were pretty good but this sudden urge I had for the Lucy X Natsu kinda made me not care much for anything else.

No idea why I got this need for Lucy X Natsu, I just hope this urge doesn't cross over to the manga-__-

The whole scene felt overdramatic. I cringed when Jellal started crying over what Erza took him about all the horrible things he did... I mean... Really ? Go back to being a heartbreaker...

Well, when it came to scenes like those, you do have to excuse some cheesiness and drama. Besides, in a way, it felt to me like Jellal had pseudo-reverted back to back before he got possessed by Fake Ghost Zeref with the side-effect of losing his memory. So... kinda like mental re-shota-fication? ( Jellal was always mature despite being kid anyway. )

It just kinda choked a bit higher at that last scene. It was okayyyy.... emotional speeches, amnesia, confused hearts, tears, choking.... cheeesy, but not too bad.... okay, what's with his pained up look... speech about evil, hatred, freedom.... what's this sudden slooooooowwwwwwwwmooooooo with the youu areee freeee scene.

I don't mean that in a bad way, mind. Cheese is better than gritty realism when it came to adolescent drama, but it got a little unexpectedly sweeter at the end. :3

As for being a heartbreaker... I'd say he's doing a really really fine job as he is already.

Oh sure I understand that, but to me it felt weird not because he's Jellal, but because he's suppose to have lost his memories! If he had revert back to pre-evil then that's fine with me- But that doesn't seem to be the case.

I often thought people who lose there memories revert to a more pre-adolescent state myself, their often referred too as being helpless as a child, at least that was my impression anyway.

Well different Memories are stored in different parts of the Brain, in most cases it's the... What do you call it again- Episodic memory, that is lost.

Seeing as how Jellal can still walk, talk and perform complex magic spells, I would say this is the case for him as well.

Could be self-repression then, mixed in with a bit of haze as to his own motivations when he was evil, given that he was kind of brain-washed at the time. If there's no outside influence to direct him after so many years under it I'd likely be confused as well. Thus we can still kind of make an argument that he reverts back to his pre-adolescent state, not in terms of his state of mind but in personality.

There's a lot of things I'm willing to overlook, especially in a manga as fun as Fairy Tail, but the Jellal thing is a violation of sanity.
