Not sure if you are serious, but SMT series made its debut on the sfc. Except for Nocturne all titles were initially released on Nintendo platforms. As for Bayonetta 2, the game was scrapped, but received now a second chance because Nintendo backed it financially. If you want to blame someone, blame Sega or MS for not funding the project.

And for those who are still skeptical:
https://twitter.com/SEGA/statuses/246268945252896769 Without a publisher and producer to back it up, a game wouldn't emerge at all. So if anything, without Nintendo, we wouldn't even see a Bayonetta 2 at all.

*sighs*
I'll be waiting for reviews and playthroughs of the finished product before picking this up. Because I already know that so long as I'm convinced the gameplay at least is on par with the 1st one, nintendo will have once again persuaded me into getting their console just for one freaking game. (The most recent KH game got me to pick up a 3DS.) |

Sometimes you have to question their judgement and how out of touch sony are with the market. Demon's Souls is the clear example of last generation on how sony got it wrong. The game was almost scrap, because one of their big bosses though it was $hit. An oversea released were done by a third party publishers and indirect sequel published and financed by N-B. As you see sony and ms do not really like to fund games, unless it is made by one of their own studios. But they do welcome people releasing game on their consoles. BTW Sony and MS never believe in Bayonetta, it was Sega who did and they even released a crappy ps3 port made without platinumgames' help... Bayonetta was flogged to Sega as a 360 only title, but sega though that making a PS3 version would increased the sales numbers.. |

Didn't the first game sell sufficiantly well in both the US and Japan, plus all the great ratings? I figured a release on all consoles was a definite thing.
I'm not gonna blow steam over this news, but it does kinda suck. Now I gotta buy a 250 dollar console for one game. :/ |
