It's an effective method of extending the play time. The main plot itself had about 5-10 hours of gameplay (loyalties included), with normal playthroughs being around 25-35 hours instead, due to mining and optional planetary missions. If they were to make that much time worth of shooting, running, shooting, more shooting, ohmygawdcainisready, shooting and talking, the release date would have been much farther. And publishers don't want that. They want money.

I, for one, haven't seen them anywhere outside Bioware forums. Though I agree only a handful of them were funny, most was pure garbage done just for the heck of it.

But I don't consider two pictures being "people abusing this crap", as you stated. It's not like we're turning this thread into a Tali jokefest. Even I wouldn't want that to happen. With that said, Roger could have at least picked a better image. Not the same thing with just a single panel altered...

Film Composer Clint Mansell to score Mass Effect 3

I'm sure you're all wondering "What happened to Jack Wall?"

Well Jack Wall pales in comparison to the guy who composed stuff like this.

But will Clint's style of music fit with the ME universe? Fans would be expecting more of Jack Wall's style. We'll see.

EDIT: Oh heck, Clint did The Fountain. It might be good.

My expectations just rose 500%. I love Mansell. I'm sure he can make it work. Some of the more techno-ish features of Wall's music might be gone, but still...

The credits theme from Mass Effect 1 was actually the song "M4 Part II" by Canadian band "Faunts", it wasn't done by Jack Wall.

Given the work that Jack Wall did on Jade Empire, ME1, and ME2, and with the Clint Mansell taking over, it's my hope Clint will be able to surpass Jack's sterling work he has done.

One of my concerns about the game is how would Bioware cope with the class/specialization at the beginnig of ME3?
In ME 2 you died and forgot every skill, but in ME 3 , assuming you don't die, how would you choose the class and start from the 1st level?

I'd assume you'd carry your class with your save game from ME2.

If you where making a new character then it'll probably just be like the start of ME1.

So you would have to make all the important choices from the beginning , like using the comic as in PS version then....

And won't it be a restriction to a player who imported his save to play the class he choose in ME2?

At least it gives the choices you made more weight.

Well, there's always a save game editor for ME 2 to change the class

Thats obviously just pure speculation on my part.

God knows how they'll do it but there where alot of smaller (debatable) decisions in the first that only made an impact on the second if you imported a save game.

Won't help those playing on consoles though. But they could always use the file corruption trick they used in ME1.

True, but as Bioware said they would make ME 3 so it would be depend on a thousand variables which came from previous games.

Oh and I want another trailer/teaser about the game so much. Oblivion, I mean Skyrim, already has a new one, but where is ME 3
