For those who like naval ships, there is this new anime.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arpeggio_of_Blue_Steel

It mixes bishoujo with Pacific War era warships. Don't know how the premise will justify it.

Nope, wrong wrong wrong. Poster obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.

Also you MIGHT be confusing Kantai Collection with Arpeggio, the latter of which has high tech battleships that only seem to look like WW2 ships on the outside -- see how Zuikaku, which is supposed to be a carrier, has no planes and can FLY -- and are made of alien nanomaterial.

Kantai Collection on the other hand has actual anthropomorphized WW2 Battleships battling Abyssal Ships during WW2 itself.

I ordered mine through yahoo japan already. 9000 yen is the retail price hence it should be the price floor. Has anyone been collecting the theatrical limited editions? I only have 2 and 6 at the moment as I came in too late into the game.

I ordered my copy of Chapter 7 yesterday. It was under 8000 yen including international shipping off Amazon.jp. Just under $80 US Dollars.

Holy crap, BD 7 with storyboard is now averaging at 12000 yen on its first day. Luckily I got one super early. BD 6 is still averaging at 9000 after a few months, but 1, 2, 3 and 4 are insanely high.

Dunno, maybe prices will drop when the hype is over at around February.

Japan now has a culture of collecting first press edition Blu-rays. Even the first press 2199 BD are now worth something, let alone the theatrical storyboard bundled release.

Amazon.jp has Chapter 7 marked down by 20 percent or more for preorder. You get most of that put back on through shipping cost, but not all of it.

New kit announced:

http://www.1999.co.jp/itbig23/10239141b6.jpg

April 2014: Garmilas Ships Set 4 - Haiserad Class Battleship(green color) with Teramea Assault Landing Ship plus unannounced mecha colle sized kit. Should it come with 1/1000 scaled tanks and APCs? Most likely we will get a mecha colle of the APC.

The Gaiperon classes should each come with a mecha colle sized version of their respective carried crafts. Each of them are about 6800 yen(excl tax). The blue one is due May. Nothing in March.

The Desula II Core Ship seems a bit pricey for its content and it even comes with just two identical fighters with no extra surprises. I guess they know Dessler fans will buy the beautifully sculpted ship regardless.

That torpedo craft(Suckerfish or the one that Celestra was on in episode 24) still needs to be fitted somewhere, may be even as a 1/1000.

There were prototypes of two Garmilas aircrafts in 1/72 scale. I think they will continue to release models on a monthly basis until the new movie. Most likely they'll resort to 1/72 Garmilas crafts.

No 1/1000 super dreadnought types announced. Maybe they'll see how the sale of the 1/500 Yamato will go and then most likely Domelaze 1/1000 will be Bandai Online exclusive if it does get the green light.

It is about time that battleship came out. We havw been speculating about it since they introduced us to Dessler and Dommel last year.

I have first pressings for all 7 BD's.

But only the first one came with a storyboard booklet. I ordered all of mine from Amazon Japan.

Was I supposed to get a booklet with the other six versions?

I am talking about the limited editions sold at theatres:

http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u54394364

Theatre limited edition> first press edition> normal edition.

I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago and saw various used theatrical editions going from 12000 to 16000 yen depending upon volume and if other items such as the stickers were included.

Nothing in March! For a moment i was hoping Analyzer being right there might be a sign he was being released XD

As for the Fast Strike Boat (Suckerfish) at 1/1000, it would be rather small as the ship is about the size of a Cosmo Seagull (maybe a tad bigger). Maybe it'll come out as a mekakore.

I do hope that, with the whole fleet now released, the Domelaze comes next and, if were lucky, a weapons platform to attach to the Deusler Core Ship.

Each Gaiperon class release comes with a specific number of 1/1000 aircraft. If you want the exact number of each type of plane (57 + 57 + 36), you'll have to buy all three carriers since they've mixed the types together plus a few extras. Mecha colle sized one still confirmed. Perhaps the extras can go on the Gelvades Battle Carrier class.

I am not sure if I am a fan of 1.5cm planes as they will just be lost on the floor easily, that is why I am buying the 1/500 Yamato instead.

I have an option of not buying any carriers at all as I have Garmilas Set 1 and planning to buy set 3 and 4. Even if Domelaze does get released, it can at least be complemented with the regular cruisers.

Does anyone not have trouble with 1.5cm planes? Maybe if they're stuck on some clear base as a group, they won't be lost as easily.

Hoping they will come out with the two first rate battleship designs (Dommel's battleship and Dessler's flagship) even though they are huge. A smaller version of them would also be useful for gaming as oppose to being basically static table displays in 1/1000 scale as both will be over two foot long, which easily dominates on a six foot table.

If they're including that many fighters, then it may indicate there may be enough room on the decks to hold and display them. We won't consider the Polmeria Class giving us just two fighters total fail as the ship doesn't have room to display or store them. 1/1000 Yamato is another example of including a complete fighter complement as it actually has room to store them in the pallets and catapults.

I will consider getting the blue carrier first as it includes all three types of fighters and I won't mind the torpedo ones as they should be 3cm long.

The Cosmo Cleaner from the BPX-01 still has finer staircases.

Still no sneak peak at the Garmilas Materials Book?

Isn't it supposed to be out this month?

Besides the leaflet that came with Earth, nothing yet. Only the cover and slipcover images that have been posted at Mag Garden's site.
