Last question though: Ran is one year younger than Ichika so that means he was her senpai in middle school right?

Yep, she's one year below him, currently is in the third year of Junior High.

They're both in middle school at this point so Ichika has to be 14 or he'll already be in high school at IS academy.

Huh? They were in the same school, but she transferred to her all girls academy after Ichika graduated with Dan. The IS wiki states that they all used to hang out a lot.
