The 00 Diver Ace was pretty nice. Here's hoping the 00 Destiny looks just as good.

Not half-bad. It's a setup episode that's kinda lean more on a recap, but I'm glad it's not a full-blown recap. I'm also glad that the new 00 is not such a drastic departure from the origin which kind of makes sense for a builder of Riku's level, even if he gets some help from everyone. But I'm still afraid of the power-boost that it will have. Here's hoping that it won't be a mecha-sue like Strike Freedom was in its own series.

Side notes:

• Did I just see Sarah singing at night on that beach?
• Of course Ayame's IRL persona looks just like her avatar.
• Another "alien" finally found Sarah. And so, Sarah's mystery will be (slowly?) revealed in this second cour like expected. Okay, bring it on.

- 00 Sky, the focus of the episode
- New machine for Yuuki? For a split second I thought it was Flauros until my eyes properly kicked in
- 2 new machines for the Albion players that follows the champ around
- New SD owned by some kids???



As long as they keep to the Build Diver's advancing as a Force, and Sarah's mysterious story going forward we should be ok (no deviations/other plotlines)



Really hope they do take on Sharyr, Tiger, Magee, Rommel etc. Not only are they good skill checks, the characters themselves really have been mostly cheerleaders so far. I want to see them in proper Force v Force action like in the Prologue with Rommel vs Albion

so Riku intentionally left a 'battle scar 'on the 00 Sky's chest covered by a clear piece, for those who have yet to watch this show but interested in buying the Gunpla first will be confused as heck as why there is a cracked up piece in the kit, i like to see their reactions.

To be fair, Aya doesn't look exactly the same as her avatar. She's missing two big things
But I know what you mean. It was expected her IRL self wouldn't look too different from her avatar, especially given how popular Ayame's design is. And it is a great design.

Koichi blushed when he saw her. That's going to give ammunition to shippers.

And yep, second cour will definitely focus on Sarah's identity. Edit: I'm an idiot, I mistook Nanami for a new character

you may care but the rest of the shippers won't there will probably be fanart of them together in a shipping matter within the week

I feel the need to do a re-review unnecessary, although the information on the final parts of the gunpla being rebuild is all good. They already did a catch-up with Magee in addition to this. It was nice seeing Ayame in personal (person matching avatar is usually the case for at least a persons first character in MMO). Action next episode should be good.

If they stay off model long enough does the base design actually change? Because nothing spent more the a minute at a time on model this episode. Did they outsource it to a studio without sending any reference materials?

00 Sky's proportions are very wonky. The head and torso are small relative to the lower body. The design elements look good though. I hope the proportions will be tweaked in the HG.
Yuukie's new unit, on the other hand, looks more exciting.

I like that 00 Sky is suppose to be a combination of 00 and Destiny and I hope that, if the Build franchise continues, we will get more Gunpla like that, specially for MC models.

The proportions are indeed a mess; those legs are entirely too big. The return of its GN Drive cones feels like a regression after the 00 Diver Ace. That said, the Destiny Gundam isn't the only influence to that machine--you can see parts from the God Gundam and the Gundam AGE-3 Normal present.

That being said probably not gonna pick up Sky's HG (unless it got some really sick effect parts), I still love my 7S/G (which is still my favorite overall 00 Gundam variant)
